Heard the reputation of this restaurant from my friend, so I can't miss it.

The environment is nice, service is fine.

For the food, nothing bad but nothing spectacular. I can have these same menus from other restaurants. Probably, I expect more from reputation of this restaurant. It is mixed between Chinese and Thai.

For the price, it is higher than avg. be prepared.

Set dinner with dishes chosen by the chef. Owners are super friendly. Ambience is cozy with lots of greens and "fireflies". Here, you'll find fresh ingredients like huge red tiger prawns seasoned to the Thai palette; a bit on the sweet side especially the grilled beef. Pleasant experience overall!

I was accompanying my girlfriend and her gaggle of girls to this spot and really didn't know any Thai to comprehend what this place was all about, through their excited chatter, but was very pleasantly surprised and absolutely stunned by the dishes served here by Mrs Mao and her Husband the Expert Chef Mr Tutu.

If my memory serves me right, we started off with (these are just names I'm using to describe the dishes in english, please forgive me for not being  poetic or eloquent, am sure their Thai names are far more elegant)

1. Blue crab salad (Thai style, sweet, spicy, and wonderfully pungent)
2. Caesars salad (crunchy and fresh, not a salad guy, but I loved it)
3. Crispy honey duck with a sea food dip (way better than peking ducks I've had so far)
4. Korean barbequed beef cubes with kimchi and lettuce (could've eaten like 3 plates of this. It was that good)
5. Crab soup( twas good but didn't see how it fit in-between, but it worked well, haha, not complaining)
6. Pickled Thai anchovy and papaya salad (it's fantastic. Got to try it, don't be put off by the thought that  it's pickled fish)
7. Grilled Tiger prawns (size of my fist and am a 21 stone big bloke to boot)
8. Sautéed Scallops with green pepper and turkey berries. (This was something else, and a must try)
9. Kaffir lime mojito with wild baby mint garnish as a palette cleanser
10. Iced ube liquer. (a very apt aperitif to wrap this wonderful meal)
All the above accompanied with a good Italian Red wine that had a hint or vanilla, I'm assuming, not a connoisseur and would be the worst person to ask to describe a good wine. But can and will say whatever the vintage, it accompanied the course really well.

To be honest I'm always apprehensive about having seafood this far away from the coast, but let me assure you, this place served it all super fresh, short of the animal being alive on the table haha.

The service was fantastic, the hostesses kept the glasses full, Mrs Mao was very engaging, the ambience very pleasent without any flies or mosquitoes harassing you, the place was well ventilated with near silent air movers and yes can't forget to mention the very friendly and well behaved tabby that comes to you at a click of your fingers.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. Bravissimo.👏
