Came here on a Monday, very quiet. I loved my visit here but should have rented a bicycle (only 40 baht/day). I ended up walking around 6 km.
It feels like you've stepped back in time, particularly the further  away you go from the ferry point. Charming place with its small tracks suitable for walking, cycling, or scooters; no cars here. Little workshops, wooden shacks, small Caffès/Restaurant  and a pottery.
You can get here using the Pink Line, then 25 Baht motorcycle taxi to ferry point.

Once you get past the shops and hordes of tourists and bother to go for a wander it becomes very interesting. Seems to be an admixture of old Hindu and Thai influence there.

This is the perfect weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok City. I rented an electric scooter for an hour and navigated the well kept pathways. Stopped in for a coffee and a bite to eat at one of the many intimate waterfront cafes. Seems a world away from the traffic and noise across the other side of the river.

I recently visited this charming island and had a lovely experience, especially when I skipped the touristy area and walked around the fields. There's an abundance of fruit trees and a variety of birds, which was quite delightful to see. However, there are quite a few stray dogs around, which can be a bit unsettling. Sometimes they follow people around, hoping for some food. Despite the distance to get there and the stray dog issue, I think the island is definitely worth a visit at least once.

It’s such a lovely atmosphere to spend here at the weekends! There are plenty of things to do such as pottery, cafe hopping, biking etc.. Pottery making only costs 100 Baht so it’s a must try activity at Koh Kret.
