Very nice park.  One of only two of the original forts.  Go in the morning and it was nearly empty, very good pics with the sunrise in the background.  No smoking or alcohol.

This is one of the best places in Thailand around khosan road. It has no entrance and the place is amazing. Peaceful and beautiful park. You can sit for sometimes doing your things and thinking about the plan what to do in Thailand. It’s really wonderful place. The fort has different weapons and it shows how they were kept the city in ancient times. And it’s very close to the river and it has a great view with that. I recommend this place to anyone stays around khosan road.

It's a great little park area where many locals and tourists come to relax. Plenty space for a picnic or exercise. Personally, it is my favourite spot to watch the sunset and boats cruising on the river. In the evening there is a chance to practise dancing with local people  and listen to the music . Can't wait to go back there. It's one of my favourite spots in Bangkok .

Phra Sumen Fort is a fortress built during the reign of King Rama I. At that time, 14 forts were built to protect the capital. However, as time passed, the forts were no longer necessary and were demolished. Phra Sumen Fort is one of only two forts left, the other being Mahakan Fort. The name Phra Sumen Fort was used to name Phra Sumen Road.

There is a public park next to it and it is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. You can see the view of the river and Rama VIII Bridge.

Nearby is the Lamphu Museum, which showcases the history of the area and the community's way of life.
