Had a wander around Taksim Square in the morning, which was fairly quiet, with locals relaxing on benches and the usual stray cats roaming about. The adjoining mosque was impressive to see, but overall, there wasn’t much happening here, so it was a quick stop to tick off the list.

Not a whole lot to see here. A few street merchants selling coffee and a fountain are the main attractions found here.

One of the better qualities is the location and how close it is to the crowds at Taksim square and Istiklal street. Good for a break in the action.

A shady and green park, connected to Taksim Square.  Not a large park, but plenty of benches under the shade to get away from the heat and the sun.

Took a break from the crowds and spent time wandering about the sides streets of the city and the parks.

A very beautiful park near Taksim Square. It is not very big but it is very sufficient and much needed for this area. It is quiet in the park compared to the hustling and bustling of the square beside it. You can sit here and relax for some time.

The site of very popular walk in Istanbul, nice to be there, you can enjoy many things and you can also hate it, there are crooks everywhere, avoid speaking to anyone you don't know, this was the advise I had from police after a very bad incident.
Negotiate and know that everything is over priced.
Visit LC wikiki in case you want to buy some cheap clothes.
Nice desserts and nice street food too.
Police is there but this doesn't mean you won't be approached by ones who try to fool you or double cross you so be careful.
