I did the wood inlay class and it was very cool. I learned a lot of tricks and some really nice detailed techniques that I will bring home with me. It was very casual and I could ask all kinds of questions. I also didn't feel like I had to use ancient historical techniques. It was fine to use technology if it was available to you. I highly recommend this. I am including a photo of one style of inlay that you could try. You won't do that whole piece! Just a tiny part of it. But you will understand how such pieces are made and how it's a lot easier than you might think.

Lovely activity with Fikret and Charlie.
Very relaxing and nice atmosphere, something different to try when in Istanbul.
I have been 7 times to the city and I wanted to try a new activity. Super recommended 🥰

Did a lovely course here for Turkish Tile Painting! Would recommend to do at the beginning of an Istanbul trip, so you can pick it up later once it’s been in the kiln for burning.

Such a lovely workshop to learn about tile marbling and other Turkish arts and activities. If you want a break from all the touristy stuff, this is a perfect option.

The instructors are so friendly and make you feel welcome and at home.

We did the water marbling class and it was a great experience. After being shown the techniques you get plenty of time to try them out and experiment.
