Lovely museum. It is expensive to enter however it is high quality. The area is safe and attached to a shopping outlet which has food , drink and clothing. Also within walking distance of the cruise terminal and main centre. If you have limited mobility the museum also has access. Overall I would recommend visiting

The curated exhibitions are a dynamic mix of vibrant works by Turkish artists and internationally renowned names. Standout installations provoked thought and emotion with the waterfront location enhancing the experience, with panoramic views of the Bosphorus providing a serene backdrop to my cultural and artistic afternoon.

My visit left me deeply inspired, a testament to Istanbul’s vibrant art scene and its ability to connect people through the universal language of creativity.

I recommend to get there earlier to avoid the long queue. It was a huge museum displaying a great variety of artworks, including paintings, audios, videos, photographs, ceramics and decorative arts, from mostly local artists! They put a lot of emphasis on the background of the artists in each description board.

One thing that I like is that there are plenty of seats for those who are tired. Don’t forget to check out the highest floor where you can have a great view and observe the seagulls.

You can store your bag in the basement.

Amazing museum of modern art. Enjoyed Olafur Eliasson’s exhibition. Watched hit art on Netflix “Abstract” series.
Unfortunately I went on the day, when it was free for Turkish residents and it’s was extremely crowded. Not my first time here, some art pieces were still there even after 10 years.

Located on the banks of the Bosporus is this art gallery. 600 Lira per adult as a foreigner the price is alot higher than a local. The art galleries are full but overall there is not a lot of art. Give yourself about 1-2 hours. Amazing views of the city from the viewing deck. You cannot see the river side when a cruise ship is in port. Worth a visit.
