I wish my girlfriend and I had tried this place sooner. With a dairy allergy, it’s not always easy to find an accommodating restaurant for it, but here we had a large amount of options. They brought out these colorful chips and this delicious soup to start with, and right away everything tasted incredible. I ordered homemade lemonade and it was amazing. The food was flavorful, hot and fresh. Everything melted in our mouths, and the service was outstanding as well. The staff was attentive and always available. We were very happy with our time there, and we will be returning again without a doubt. Easily one of the top places to eat at in Istanbul.

Delicious food. Great, helpful service, original appearance of the place and atmospheric music. I was treated like a real guest in the restaurant. The food was fresh and the portions were large. I loved it. Very interesting place in Istanbul, original and with soul. I wish you many good customers. I highly recommend it!

If you’re in Turkey and craving Indian or Nepali cuisine, Himalayan Restaurant is a must-visit! We found this place on Google while searching for Indian food, and I must say—it exceeded our expectations.

The hospitality here is beyond amazing. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. We ordered momos and rice, and while waiting for our food, we were pleasantly surprised when the team served us authentic Nepali soup—a delicious treat we hadn’t expected!

The food we ordered was good, but what truly made our experience unforgettable were the thoughtful surprises. After our meal, they offered us Nepali tea, which was absolutely delightful and out of the box. And as an Indian, I was really missing saunf (fennel seeds) on this trip, and to my surprise, they provided that too—along with some cute chocolates!

The warmth, hospitality, and little surprises at Himalayan Restaurant make it stand out. I highly recommend this place to everyone—if you’re in Turkey, this restaurant should definitely be on your list!

Staff are extremely friendly. Food is authentic for what I had. Steamed momos and chicken Manchurian. Asparagus soup is extremely clear and tasty.
For the amount you pay the portion size is large and filling.
Staff also do a good job with their menu recommendations.
Off menu items specific to Nepalese cuisine is also available on request.
A must visit place if you are a fan of fresh steamed momos.
I visited the next day since I liked the food so much.
Biryani is a hit or miss each to their own liking.

I loved the food, so good. They could accommodate my dietary restrictions as they cook everything from scratch (so need to wait about 30min but so worth it!). The clear herbal soup was so delicate, yet flavourful. The aloo matar curry was great and they matched the spiciness level perfectly. I enjoyed the tea and fresh fruit. The staff was amazing and they made sure that we’re really happy with the orders. Would highly recommend - thank you!
