The room was with the window that has no view at all, it was tiny even for two persons.  The air conditioner was not working . There was a smell in the bathroom, not a pleasant one. The breakfast was not so good and sufficient.

Cockroaches, mold, neglect, noise. These aspects characterized our stay in this structure. The hotel is not a 4 star, but not even 2. The bathrooms are full of mold on the walls, sanitary ware, sink, doors, furniture are all worn, broken, neglected. The height of the rooms is low and the doors are low, you risk hitting your head. A feeling of degradation, oldness and neglect pervades. Everything is assembled badly, crooked, we had to turn off the air conditioner from the electrical panel because it made noise at night. As soon as we arrived we asked to change rooms because the conditions were like this. The next day they changed our apartment but the situation was exactly the same. The staff at the entrance is not always professional, especially at night. Speaking of the area, it is certainly not positive, badly frequented, dark at night and certainly does not convey security. To conclude, the breakfast was decent, not exceptional quality, not 4 stars, but it was passable. Overall an experience to forget, absolutely not recommended, avoid.

I had a great stay at the hotel overall. The food was fantastic—plenty of delicious options—and the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout my visit. Their hospitality really stood out. However, the room itself had a couple of downsides. There was quite a bit of noise from the neighboring rooms, which made it difficult to relax, and the room felt very dark. With no view when the window was open, there wasn’t much natural light coming in. Despite these issues, the excellent service and food made the stay enjoyable.

Untidy and uncomfortable rooms. The sauna is in the basement and is very small with bad smells. The rooftop restaurant is small and untidy with a view of the terrible crashes. The street is very noisy and dirty.
Furniture and appliances are very worn out.
The photos are not true. It is necessary to be attentive and careful with the staff.

We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights in a triple room. So here my fairly comprehensive review of the hotel. Starting with the few positives:

1. Service is generally really good across the board. Regardless of language barriers with some of the staff and some oddities more below.
2. Breakfast is good with a couple items being a bit mid.
3. Outside of breakfast we did have dinner once, it wasn’t bad on whole but they do not expect people to come up to restaurant so expect it to be dead quite. I did have cheeseburger I did expect a bit more cheese on just saying.
4. The spa area isn’t too shabby and very clean on visit down to get a massage.
5. About 20 minute leisure paced walk to main attractions.

Now for the negatives:
1. At some point this hotel does need renovations. The main areas:
- Bathrooms - have chipping on door frame and tiles. There has been signs of repair but it seems modern builders don’t care as demonstrated on the road. Mastic has started to go a bit black in areas not a cleanliness issue but these and can present that way.
- Rest of the room isn’t a million miles off just needs minor tart up apart from the ac and bathroom. New paint and flooring oh and definitely more sound proofing!
- Air conditioning appear not to be VFR units which for the nontechnical mean that all the indoor air con units have to heat or cool not able to mix and max as multiple units are connected to one outdoor unit. So if your like me who gets very warm even in winter I cant set the air con to cool the room but just heat instead. There is window to a riser of some sort to allow for some ventilation not ideal though.
- Staircase feels a bit weird to walk on staircase that looks it was taken for the outside and put inside and the light aren’t always on runs on sensor per floor and the light is cold colour giving no perception of warmth.
2. While staff provided good service there is generally a few oddities I’ve noticed:
- The chef in the morning is a bit of loud mouth, so you can hear him have a full blown conversation.
- At some point after 10am the staff in the restaurant want you out and they do this blasting loud music.
- When you first arrive the reception staff will sell so many packages (I get it, that’s the way they make commissions). Nothing too wrong with just know the dinner cruise is a rip off as food is about 4/10, don’t get me wrong I understand the labour, fuel, drink is quite a cost but not €300 for 4 people. Ps I think you can definitely get cheaper than what we paid for it but isnt not worth it (maybe in the summer).
3. General hygiene was good however I did notice a few bits:
- Dust on the toilet roll holder
- The floor under the toilet isnt very clean (wall mounted toilet) and genuinely around the shower, it isnt very evident as the floor tiles are dark.
4. Istanbul is very much a walking and public transport place. Unfortunately to get any sort of public transport it quite an uphill walk so prepare for that. Like I mentioned on the positives, it’s not far for main attractions. Not really an issue but just be aware

So in short this is not a 4 star hotel as it advertised at least to what I expected. More like a 3. Renovations are definitely needed and with fine attention to detail will definitely take it that next step of a 4 star hotel. Staff service and behaviour just needs a minor adjustment.
