Quiet luxury in a brilliant blue Aegean hideaway. After 20 hours of travel, we were promptly picked up at the airport in a comfortable LandRover and welcomed with not only early access to our room but also a gorgeous upgrade. The bay was a welcomed scene of calm and rest, and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive and fast. We were especially grateful for Muhammad who shared Macakazi’s family history and lovely souvenirs. Thank you for a perfect stay!

Unhelpful Staff: The staff at the hotel were not very accommodating or friendly. For example, when I asked for assistance with my luggage, I was met with indifference and had to carry everything myself. Additionally, the front desk staff seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns about the room.

Poor Service: The overall service quality was below par. Room service was slow and often incorrect. On one occasion, I had to wait over an hour for a simple meal, and when it finally arrived, it was not what I had ordered. Housekeeping was inconsistent, with some days my room being cleaned thoroughly and other days barely touched.

Communication Issues: There seemed to be a lack of clear communication among the staff. I received conflicting information about hotel policies and services, which added to my frustration.

I hope the management takes these issues seriously and works on improving the service quality. A better-trained and more attentive staff would make a significant difference in the overall guest experience.

The service is terrible , no one can do basic things , there is nothing in the room for 12,000€ .
Always  problem with sun beds on the beach even if you hotel resident, no free seats…
the staff does they work not properly
Food very poor in hotel, especially breakfast. Just tomato, cucumber and pepper from vegetables…
There are many places where the service is higher than in this hotel.
We really don’t understand for what we paid so much.

After nearly 10 years, I spent a day at the beach at Maçakızı, and I was thrilled to see that it has preserved the same warm, inviting vibe, even after being sold. This hotel continues to offer one of the most unique atmospheres in Bodrum—completely authentic and unlike anywhere else. The beachside food and cocktails were fantastic, and the staff went above and beyond, even escorting us to Reception and helping us use the showers to change. The art displayed throughout the hotel is also remarkable, adding to its charm. A truly special place.

We visited only the beach after several years. Even though the beach is crowded, service is almost perfect. Nothing delayed. Food and cocktails are good, but I would expect something more from a facility whose restaurant received a Michelin star. Some dishes were seriously delicious but some were just ok. The crowd is also fun and not bothering. Definitely worth its fame and a visit if you are in Bodrum, even though it's expensive compared to other beaches. In the high season, a reservation is necessary as the facility is full even on weekdays.
