I had a wonderful guided kayaking tour. Milad was an exceptional guide and took some great photos! I would warn any absolute beginners away. There can be some challenging parts once you're in the Mangroves. However anyone who has kayaked a handful of times should be fine.

It's was one of the best 3 hours of my life
No guide is needed.
They'd help with the navigation before leaving, and then u r good to go.
Do spend 2 to 3 hours at least
You'll get wet and there's a swimming point as well, so do not forget to bring extra clothes.
Do go inside the mangroves forest, and it can get quite shallow, and if so, have a walk around
Look for fishes, sea snails, and crabs.
The best time to visit is at 2 to 4 or 5 during the winter.

Three of us went for kayaking. We took a kayak for rent. We couldn't get to the mangroves, and it took us a difficult 90 minutes to get back. Beginners are highly recommended to take a guided tour first, and the it may also prove physically exhausting for the less active. Also, you will get wet while kayaking, so bringing an extra set of clothes is highly recommended.

We liked the kayaking but it said that it is a guided tour. Now I am asking myself what is a guided tour? Someone explains how to use the kayak or someone who joins us for the trip. I understood the latter one but when we arrived they said we are on our own. Check in staff did not offer possibility to upgrade or anything else to make me feel more comfortable. Even though I shared my concerns , hence we are not pros, with him. At least boarding staff  gave us his number in case of emergency LOL. It was fun though but you get wet so you need some extra clothing/towels. Plus the life jackets had a sweaty smell so you will appreciate an extra t-shirt. They provide waterproof bags if needed. My advice check what you get exactly before you book online. There are quite a few companies who offer same trip! I saw some guided tours while cruising through the mangroves. It would be great to mention something about the extra clothes in your booking confirmation. I did not expect to be sitting in a pool of water from the start of the tour! The water literally crawled from my trousers up to the back of my t-shirt. There was a point where i decided to turn back as I did not feel comfortable anymore.

Great experience, guides are knowledgeable and they provide different route alternatives so the group can tailor the experience. The tour can actually be a little bit shorter or longer than advertised, it all depends on group's ability to kayak and the route you choose. Mangroves are one of a kind and you can see flamingos if you are lucky.
