Namak @ Dusit Thani, Abu Dhabi

Recently, we had dinner at Namak, and it was a delightful experience overall. The ambience was decent, and the dishes were not only tasty but also generous in portion size. What truly elevated our evening was the exceptional service. A special mention goes to Ms. Pooja (Team Head) and Ms. Aasha, whose warm and attentive service made the experience truly memorable.

Was nice experience😊

Went for the Grand Nashta on Sunday which is almost a brunch
Started by the chai was good they were able to get us the no sugar chai😉

Then the feast starts tried almost every thing, food was good and service as well... I like the interior nice colors😁

The  dosa was my favorate👌
The dessert section had some nice options and fruits and some nice youghurt as a dessert

The tea chai coffee and water is unlimited

Our group recently visited Namak for lunch, and unfortunately, the experience fell well short of expectations for a restaurant of its stature.

We started with the Lentil and Beet Vada, which was bland and presented poorly. The Galawati Kebab, served oddly with potato and curry leaves, was a puzzling pairing. The Kakori Kebab had decent flavor but lacked the softness one would expect, resembling sausages in appearance.

For the main course, the Butter Chicken was disappointing—seemingly made with steamed tandoori chicken tossed in a spicy tomato gravy overpowered with butter and cream, resulting in a lackluster flavor. The Paneer Tikka Masala was overly spicy and just passable, requiring replacement. The Bhuna Gosht was merely average, while the Dal stood out as the tastiest dish of the meal. The naans were unremarkable, and the servers struggled to manage service efficiently.

The meal began with fried poppadums that were dripping with oil, and the accompanying chutneys were served without teaspoons. The service was equally underwhelming—food runners placed dishes on the table without announcing them, leaving us guessing which dish was which.

Overall, the experience did not meet the standards of a five-star restaurant. The food quality was below average, the presentation lacked finesse, and the service was disorganized. Namak has significant room for improvement to live up to its reputation.

We had made reservations for 2 couples for Valentines day here, since it was a Set menu, we decided to go ahead and enjoy ourselves a nice 5 course meal, where we don't have to pick and chose and order what to eat. The Valentines theme was spot on, it was decorative, very Lovey-Dovey. The Sparkling wine was Delicious. The Chocolate Kulcha was okayish. But the Dhokla was moist and really tasty. There on the courses were bought to us REALLY REALLY LATE, there was a lot of chaos and confusion. The hotel wasn't even at full capacity,  there were many empty tables yet the Service of couses was Royally SLOW. There was a big wait between Starter and main, then main and Dessert. To top things a notch the Air conditioning was kept off the entirety of the evening. My wife had a fainting spell, she's pregnant and had to get out of the restaurant for some fresh air and feel better. The Dessert named "Dil wale Dulhaniya leh Jaayenge" was nothing short of a big Disappointment. The 4 of us couldn't eat post 1st bite, the litchi wasn't going with dark chocolate at all. Sure it looked pretty, but after eating from our eyes, actually eating it was unpleasant. We were gravely disappointed. By the time it was 10:40 for the cheque and that too took forever to reach us. I mean, we didn't expect this kind of service from such a Famous establishment. 5 course meal in 3 hrs is SLOW.

Their bolly Fri brunch is what we feasted on , choice of food is varied with veg n non veg options ,sumptuous.
