Beautiful atmosphere design of Josette is truly awesome - definitely awe-inspiring interiors even for Dubai standards. Food was very good though not excellent. Duck confit tasted dry and chewy and the side of snow peas felt out of place. But the Dover Sole was superb, and the two desserts excellent.

Service is where Josette can and should improve. the receptionist was soulless and impersonal when we arrived - borderline rude even though I had my reservation and arrived on time. the servers were prompt and friendly and professional but what I didn’t appreciate was how when I got the bill after the meal, the waiter put the payment machine in front of my face asking me to type in the tip amount while he watched. By far the most uncomfortable situation imaginable and the worst ending to an otherwise fine dinner. my two guests at my table also sat staring at me as the waiter waited for me to tip him. I ended up typing in an amount before leaving with a bad taste in my mouth.

I understand that tipping in Dubai is now becoming the norm, but you should never make it so ‘in your face’ to the point where the meal comes to an uncomfortable ending. I will not return, for this reason.

The staff were very nice and accommodating, and the variety of non-alcoholic drinks was impressive. However, the lack of clear information about the show schedule was disappointing. We had a reservation from 7 to 9 PM and only discovered upon arrival that the shows start at 9 PM, which we unfortunately missed.

Despite searching the website beforehand, we couldn’t find any details about the show timings. Perhaps if we had experienced the show while dining, the prices might have felt more justified. Without it, the restaurant's offerings felt underwhelming. The food, while average, is priced significantly higher compared to similar establishments in Dubai.

Overall, while the service was commendable, the value for money and the overall experience left room for improvement.
