We were around this area and saw that this place is open so we gave it a go. Prior to this, we just had Met Vietnamese Restaurant & Vegetarian so our expectations are pretty high. Despite having only 1 table before us, the food was very slow. Everything was decent but not a “wow, I’m really glad we came here”. If there’s 1 dish I can recommend, it would be the Beef Pho.

The place was ok to find via google maps. I liked that they were responsive via email about my same day reservation that I booked a few hours before the time I asked for. Since they were not busy, I was able to get one. As we were seated, the ambience was nice and the servers were nice but a little too slow. They gave us the menu but didn’t tell us which ones are not available until a few minutes after we ordered. As our food got served, they explained what it was and how to eat it and the presentation on some of the foods were exquisite. The tastes were delish and for the price it was worth especially for being a Michelin. I think the flavors could have been elevated more but overall it was not bad. They accept credit cards as well.

Had duong’s for our first meal in Hanoi.
Saw that this place was quite popular, and it was easy to make a reservation.

The place was filled with foreigners (no vietnamese locals at all), was nicely decorated and was comfortable.

We ordered the local set - one with bun cha, another with the catfish. Both was great but the cat fish is much better. The dessert was unfortunately a disappointment and tasted horrible. Prices however was on the expensive end, and would not really eat here again.

FYI for the price paid on the set, you could have a big luxurious meal in Tam Vi which is an affordable Michelin Star place.

We had lovely dinner experience at Duong’s! The staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend this place for authentic Vietnamese cuisine!!

It was recommended to us by our hotel staff. We were not disappointed. All the dishes we tried were delicious and the various tastes generated discussions amongst ourselves as to how it was cooked and ingredients etc which means the taste of the food did not leave anyone indifferent to it since it kind of monopolised our conversation during dinner. It was our third Catfish dish in Vietnam and it was by far the best one we had. Pork was excellent and so was the duck and beef soup. Service and atmosphere were great. Great place for authentic tastes.
