Very happy to have found this place.  It’s incredibly clean and beautifully decorated. The menu had many interesting dishes and we chose the octopus starter, the duck breast main, the pigeon main, and the pistachio linguini.  Each was beautiful and tasted amazing!!   For dessert we got the chocolate mousse and flambéed bananas.  Again, delicious.   The portions were perfect to share and we left full and happy.  The service was perfect as well.  They were attentive and seemed to take pride in the experience.  Highly recommend to anyone visiting Hanoi.

Food was hit and miss - the octopus was a bit tough and the duck was lacking in complexity. The pigeon was amazing though, a must try.

Service was not consistent - sometimes the waiters didn’t know what our order was while serving it - also no explanation before each dish at all about what the ingredients were.

Atmosphere was amazing, felt like we stepped into an Aesop shop that serves food.

If you've been to similar places in Europe, you might be a little disappointed.
The food choice is big, but there are almost no vegetarian options. (Only salads and bruschetta - a starter. Which btw was partially unavailable as they run out of cheese when I was there).
I got pasta with some mushrooms as my vege option, which isn't in the menu.  Honestly, I felt like I didn't get the experience my friends, who eat meat, had. They said their food was really great, and my pasta was just bad. I didn't finish it. It also had just normal champions, nothing fancy.
Can it be that the chef can't really cook proper vegetarian/vegan food? Apparently, that's the case here. 😐
Wine choice is good and the wine we liked. Our glasses were never empty.
I would also suggest to pay more attention to the cleaness of the table next to the cashier, as it felt weird to eat some fine food having some spare wine corks, a cloth and some other clutter just laying around behind my back.
The bathroom could be nicer, too.
We were in way nicer places in Hanoi.

Our dinner at Etesia was disappointing.
Despite making a reservation and specifying a gluten allergy, which was asked upon doing the reservation, our dining experience was marred by numerous issues. Several menu items were unavailable, the espresso machine was out of order, and our dietary needs were not met. We were told only one item was gluten free, which was a salad and no intentions were shown to be forthcoming towards another simple solution. The staff's indifference to these problems was disappointing.
The lack of apology or accommodation for these issues made the experience unpleasant.
The duck was tasty, the wine was good, but it couldn't make up for the overall poor experience.
The atmosphere was cosy, but the service issues overshadowed everything else.

All in all, not what we expected in this price range.

It’s really hard for me to describe about the foods. I don’t eat much Western foods as a VNese.
