This restaurant has some very unpleasant staff, eating rice and listening to the unpleasant staff talking rudely to the shipper, to be honest I'm afraid I can't even eat rice, I know that having a lot of customers can make you tired and have a hard time, but you guys don't think about the shippers who have to stand in the sun and rain all day to take orders and bring food to customers and still be unpleasant with them, the rice is very delicious but not as good as promised and only a little better than other rice restaurants in terms of taste, the price is double the market price. But in return for the rude attitude and not very outstanding taste, it's not worth it, just experience it. I wish the restaurant will improve and develop soon.

The food is incredible!!! It's SO SO good. I came back to visit Vietnam from overseas, longing to have some great cơm tấm (broken rice) and I was so happy I went here.

Some people complained here about the food not being warm except for the ribs. :) well, the pork skin is a cold dish and the chả is also supposed to be steamed well in advance and served cold. And you wouldn't expect warm pickles, wouldn't you. So there's nothing unexpected or bad about it. That's the way it is. Just pour the fish sauce on top of your food and enjoy.

It's a casual eatery so the seating is not the best. But I see it as the charm of an authentically local experience.

I love this place and will come back whenever I'm in Saigon. It's also the broken rice place I will recommend to all my non Vietnamese and Vietnamese friends alike.

Normally,for a street vendor,I can forgive the lack of attentiveness in exchange for food quality,but I would not tolerate disrespect. Food quality over the year has plummeted in consistency. And so has services. The servers and area supervisor pay little attention to the note I gave them about how I want my good to be. Then one of them spilled water on me,even though little,but he said nothing and even gave me a look. Also,3 servers came and asked if I had ordered and what I would order. This shows a complete lack of system in place.

The other time I genuinely and gently advise the manager to get some knives and provide customers (most probably Western or Western- educated) when asked,she blankly said “no,we do not want customers to use them as weapon in cases where heated conversations take place”. What the heck!? How do people fight in this setting? The shop is freaking greasy and hot! Plus,how do restaurants operate if they have the similar mindset? She does not ever listen to me saying the kind of knife that has rounded point is more than sufficient. Seems like they do not care at all and they just want to keep doing things they want to do because too many people flood the shop.

The other day,the fish sauce was tasteless. I told the manager and he disregarded. Then I told the owner and she seemed to care a little. Another time,the pork steak was chewy and blackened way to much I had to cut off 10-15% of it. I let the other times go,but today i felt so disrespected that I think I should stop coming here ... Such a pity. The lady did a great job at the beginning and it has just gone way worse after giving the son the throne. Yes,he has managed to get more publicity,but turning away long time customers like me is perhaps not what shop owners wants to do

Friendly staff and delicious food! The place was still full despite us visiting at around 5pm.

Portion sizes are very generous, great value for money.

Michelin bib gourmand (2023 & 2024) for Vietnamese broken rice.

Pork rib with good! The one with egg (#2) is priced at VDN 92,000. We initially just ordered 1 but because it was good, we ordered 1 more. Unfortunately, the quality of the 2nd one was different, less tender - but still flavorful.

We went on a Friday night and while it was full, we didn't have to wait long (we were a party of 3) because turnover was fast and generally lots of seating.

8/10 for me! Would recommend & will be back :)
