We visited this restaurant based on a recommendation, and though it’s a bit tucked away, the food selection leaves nothing to be desired. The highlight for us was the vegetarian menu—so many great options!

The food itself was incredibly authentic, easily some of the best we’ve had in Vietnam. On top of that, the service was outstanding. Everyone was super friendly, but a special shoutout to Y and LY, who made our experience even more enjoyable.

If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Vietnamese food with top-notch service, this place is a must-visit!

The manageress that showed us our very nice room that we rented from Chocohouse (nearby) recommended Nina’s Cafe to us so we checked it out when we were on our way to explore Hue. Don’t let the lane way deter you. It’s perfectly safe. We liked what we saw so a few hours later when we were returning to our room we dropped in for dinner. We were early (5:00 pm). It was the perfect time because it was quiet and not too busy. The house beside it is where the family live. Very nice arrangement. No commuting wasted time!
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food tasted great. The prices are reasonable. We were able to buy some beer to take out. We just arrived in Hue this afternoon and for sure we will be back for breakfast . We feel very lucky that we chose our accommodations so close to such a special place.

I first visited Nina’s Cafe in 2019 and I was delighted to find it going strong in 2025. It’s a cute venue serving good Vietnamese food that’s a bit different from the other touristy places - although all the patrons when we went were Caucasian - so it’s still a tourist place!
I had some absolutely delicious fish, washed down with a Saigon Special beer.
Our hosts, Y and Ly, were very friendly and helpful.

Vietnamese American here who has been traveling Vietnam for over 3 months. I have family all over the country from south to north that have taken me to eat the best local food. I also rarely repeat restaurants.

With that said, I wasn't expecting much walking into Nina's Cafe and saw all the foreign tourists- I was just looking for a quiet open late night spot. But i ended up eating here three times i was shocked at myself.

My expectations were blown away. Everything is absolutely delicious. They manage to make tofu and veggies taste phenomenal, the rice is perfectly soft and the banana cake with coconut icecream I'll dream about. The banhs are the best idk how they execute every dish so perfectly.

One of the best places I've eaten at in all of Vietnam, with a cute clean atmosphere and wifi to boot. They are extremely deserving of a high rating.

Really great food  was fresh and served hot straight out of the kitchen.  The waitress Lotus was fantastic and spoke fluent English which was a bonus (not necessary but very useful when receiving instruction on how to eat the meals).  She was engaged and happy to chat. She was quick and serviced the whole restaurant single handedly. Recommend the skewers on lemongrass, pancake and fried spring rolls.  The banana flower salad was also excellent.  The dessert also stood out big time!!! Definitely try the banana cake served hot with coconut milk. It was amazing. Highly recommend the slight detour off the beaten track and down an ally to find this place.
