This zoo has an exceptional number of marsupials and birds. I am a bird enthusiast and was happy to see so many stunning birds of Australia like the Pink Cockatoo and the Kookaburra. It was quite the experience to feed some of the small kangaroos. When we went it was very hot, so a lot of the animals were in the shade or resting. So I would recommend going when the weather is more moderate.

Hands down the best experience ever! Loved the whole park! Loved that we can interact with the animals here, feed them, and sometimes pet them, some, but not all. Loved the ultimate experience of seeing actual kangaroos and koala bears! Plus, you get a picture with the koalas! They have the best gift shop too! I will never forget this trip! This is one you definitely need to do when visiting Sydney, Australia!

This was my highlight before leaving Australia. So great to see those wild animals roam freely in the zoo. I couldn't stop myself from petting each of them. Stars of the zoo, of course, must be koala bears. I paid $35 for a few pics taken with a koala, which originally I thought was a stuffed toy. Yes, I stroked a real koala. The friendly kangaroos were really full up. Great experience for small and big kids. It's pretty straightforward for me to get there from Central Station.

I really enjoyed the experience there with my family. There were tons of koalas and kangaroos and I got to see a wombat too. The kids seemed to enjoy themselves as well. Even though it’s shaded, it can get pretty hot in the summer so try to go when it’s a little cooler for more animals to come out. Also everyone had feeding cups with them, so maybe get 1 cup to start and see how it goes. We purchased 3 and weren’t able to finish it.

I went to this zoo as part of a Blue Mountains tour group. Initially, I was skeptical, but I was very happy I went to this compact zoo. It's dense. There are multiple animals everywhere you look..I enjoyed seeing a lot of cassowaries, birds, and kangaroos. We bought food to feed to the kangaroos, but it was near the end of the day so most of them were sleeping off a day of free food from eager tourists, so maybe skip the food if you're going at the end of the day.
