This was a very spontaneous and unexpected lunch and let me tell you, it was amazing!
The quality of food served here is devine!! Presentation of food is clean, simple, refined and when you actually dig in, flavor explosion. It tastes even better than it looks.
Couldn't recommend more. We ordered the mid tier chef's selection lunch menu and it not only didn't disappoint but pleasantly surprised us.
Great service, only thing I can say is that I cannot hear anything the waiters say at all due to the nature of the space but that doesn't phase me, just feed my belly!

My husband and I have been visiting Kuro for our annual anniversary, and they never disappoint. Each time we come, we try a new dish, and the flavors and quality are consistently exceptional. The way the flavors in each dish complement each other is truly impressive. Being dairy-intolerant, we greatly appreciate how accommodating they are with every dish.

Came during Valentine’s Day and they had a set menu going. The oysters were nice and the chorizo snack was just okay, the churro with the sour cream and caviar was my fav! I like the combination sour cream which the crispiness of the churro!

The beef tartare was nice, the cracker underneath was okay, I feel like they could have used a different one though.

The kingfish was nice, wasabi wasn’t too strong and the Granny Smith apple was nice.

The scallops were okay, strong cucumber flavour, a bit more of a fresh style of /,-“”90z

The ocean trout confit was really nice with a coconut(?) kaffir lime taste. The grapefruit definitely has to be enjoy with confit and not on its own.

The risotto and scampi was nice, but oily.

The steak was nice, the mushrooms were a bit too sour for me though. I also think the chips sitting in the sauce made them a bit soggy and they tasted a little stale.

Desserts were both nice, ice cream was refreshing while the chocolate was an almost fudge like texture and quite heavy.

In terms of service, we were late due to unprecedented traffic due to rail strikes and such, I believe other patrons were also late so they kindly accomodated. The whole set menu took about three hours to happen. I did notice other tables having to wait and i heard the next table complaining they had waited 30min for their starters to come out which was quite unusual.

While their food and general customer service is good, perhaps they’re not too well suited for major rushes like Valentine’s Day.

Excellent food and the staff are wonderful. The tantan noodles, Kuro fried chicken, kingfish tartare, snapper and ocean trout ceviche and wagyu were really special. Everything on the set menu came together to create a memorable experience on my wife’s birthday.

Besvikelse, obekväm, själlös och sjuk - uppförd. Detta är matupplevelsen på Kuro Bar and Dining. Kuro Bar och Dinning anläggning hade fantastisk inredning, men servicen och maten misslyckades med att leva upp till våra förväntningar. Vi hade beställt $ 110 avsmakningsmeny och drycker. Maten presenterades vackert men matens skönhet kunde inte dölja bristen på smak. Maten var extremt underväldigande, rammaträtten hade ingen smak och vi fann att kranvattnet hade mer smak. Vi fick inte heller några skedar till denna rätt. Den sashimi vi fick var okej i bästa fall och misslyckades med att leva upp till presentationen. Huvudrätten som var ett torrt - åldrat ankbröst trodde vi kunde gottgöra vår natt. Ankan var seg och seg och saknade smak. Vår dessert som var en yoghurt och grönt te gelé var vanlig, tråkig, och saknade smak och balans. Medan vi var där personalen frågade aldrig oss om maten, för att se om vi njuter av det. Vi upplevde profilering och fick oförskämd service, från det att vi satt ner tills vi lämnade. När maten anlände avbröt serveringspersonalen våra samtal upprepade gånger, och frågade om ”de kunde prata nu” för att förklara maten, detta skedde på flera resor till vårt bord. Vi betjänades av flera personal och upplevde samma oförskämda beteende. Efter att ha betalat, vi nästan lämnade restaurangen och hade en servitör kommer mot oss säger att vi inte hade betalat. Vi visade henne våra kvitton och sedan var tvungen att vänta på henne att bekräfta med sin chef innan du tillåter oss att lämna. Detta berodde på tekniska svårigheter från plattformen verksamheten använder som misslyckades med att uppdatera sina system. Den totala erfarenheten var obekväm och en besvikelse, särskilt efter att ha spenderat över $ 500 på denna anläggning. Jag skulle inte rekommendera att äta på denna anläggning, eftersom skönheten i restaurangen inte döljer sina flera brister när man äter.

Trevlig överraskning i affärsdistriktet. Rostad edamame, tomat stracciatella och calamari var alla utmärkta. Chokladmousseefterrätten var också mycket intressant. Mycket trevlig middag!

Vi åkte hit för att fira min mans födelsedag med vänner. Vi fick reda på om denna restaurang genom en vän och jag är glad att säga att det inte gjorde besviken! Varje maträtt var smaskig. Presentation och smaker var fantastisk. Vi skulle definitivt gå tillbaka! Restaurangens interiör är mycket enkel. Utrymmet är inte så stort men personalen var riktigt bra och priserna är inte så dyra.

Vi bokade alla hjärtans dagskväll som vanligtvis är något vi aldrig gör i Asien eftersom restauranger vanligtvis tar ut en prix fixe till en stilig premie. Kuros till deras kredit hade sin vanliga biljettpris men platsen var lite överväldigad med alla parkombinationer. Var tvungen att vänta i rad först utan några hälsningar eftersom framsidan av huset kvinnan var multi tasking (till hennes kredit). Drycker och menyer kom långsamt men Nabeshima Sake var utmärkt. Maten var mycket bra med början med Sydney Pacific Oysters. Nori Crisps (något tunga) och Tuna Tartare var en bra start följt av en riktigt bra Chawanmushi (kall) med tomatvatten. Snapper Sashimi var utmärkt och vi valde bort den svarta kaviaren. Stekt kyckling var unik och wagyu var väl förberedd. Jag är inte ett stort ökenfläkt men tyckte om persikakompoten med vanilj. Servitriser var super hjälpsamma när saker lugnade lite och bartendrarna var uppmärksam också. Jag skulle ge denna plats ett nytt försök och faktiskt ägaren till restaurangen skickade min partner en uppföljning e-post ber om ursäkt för bristen på service / lite kaotisk natur på kvällen som jag tyckte var en trevlig gest.

Lokalen innehåller 4 olika områden, varav 3 var öppna när jag besökte i mitten av november - Brew Bar, Kuro Dining och Kuro Bar. 10-sitsig kockbord är planerat att öppna före årets slut. Brew Bar som egentligen inte är en bar, är öppen under dagen och säljer te och kaffe till en främst take away-publik samt ett mycket litet antal snacks. Det är ett intressant val att ta med eftersom det finns ett mycket populärt kafé nära gränsen som har fler materbjudanden. Kuro Bar & Dining är för närvarande bara öppen för middag men planeras börja öppna till lunch ungefär samtidigt som kockens bord öppnas. Maten tenderar mot japansk fusion snarare än strikt japansk och inkluderar till exempel en japansk ta på en Caesersallad såväl som en anckekonfisk. Elnätet ligger runt marknaden på 40 dollar, även om det finns en svart marknadsslänga som är $ 150. Jag skulle beskriva de rätter jag hade som solida snarare än enastående men med tanke på att de bara hade öppnat dagen före mitt besök är detta förmodligen förståeligt. Vinlistan är ganska lång och innehåller några i glaset.
