One of the best public squares in the Sydney CBD area. A wide central pedestrian street in the CBD lined with heritage buildings, where people can meet and gather and sometimes there's events or street performances.

At Christmas time, it's also home to a large famous Christmas tree that's colourful in daytime and lit up with bright colourful lights and choreographed Christmas songs at night that's popular to visit.

Jag hade varit i maj 2017 solo och var inte imponerad av denna plats. Slutligen det en ny skott - lunch med andra. OMG utmärkt (helt klart inte vet hur man ska behandla solo gäster - som se senaste bagging från en annan solo-diner - precis som vi äter solo betyder inte att vi inte kommer att spendera, och vanligtvis är din tabellomsättning snabbare). Service utmärkt, servitören engagerande utan att vara OTT. Mat: Kingfish verkligen välsmakande. Men höjdpunkten var deras lammsignaturskål - och det finns en anledning - det smälter i munnen välsmakande. Stor storlek för delning. Sidorna är stora - Potatis lätt att servera fyra. Jag måste gå tillbaka nu - som behovet av att prova bläckfisk och fisk (tror att det var torsk) såg jag vid andra bord. Tack för en härlig lunch. Nej, det är inte billigt, men det är värt det. Och den huvudsakliga sittgruppen är bra.

Åt här med två vänner och åtnjöt grundligt vår måltid. Delade några aptitretare, maträtter och dessert. Alla var läckra och smakade nyberedd. Båda mina cocktails var tyvärr inte efter min smak. Jag förväntade mig att fler av dem skulle se att de ockuperade en helt framstående sida på deras meny och kom starkt rekommenderad av den härliga franska hostessen.

Älskar kvalitet grekisk mat och menyn var mycket lockande. Tyvärr hade jag inte en bokning så jag tog bara en bit och gick in. Den är relativt liten och det enda verkliga alternativet var en hög pall vid baren som inte passade för komfort. Lyckligtvis är området fullt av restauranger så att jag inte blev hungrig men på min nästa resa, kommer att planera framåt och boka med varsel.

Så mycket löfte, så nedslående. . . 1821 ligger väl mittemot Fullerton Hotel mitt i Sydney CBD och verkade det perfekta stället för middag under vår vistelse på Fullerton. Vi möttes av den trevliga Maitre D och visades till vårt bord. Menyer kom snabbt och efter att ha bett om rekommendationer från servitören placerade vi vår beställning. Vi beställde två förrätter att dela och den första förrätten ankom i rimlig tid och det var mycket trevligt, vi väntade sedan på den andra förrätten, och väntade och väntade. . . Så småningom anlände våra huvudrätter - men var är vår andra förrätt? Vi var tvungna att säga servern att ta tillbaka nätsladden (det borde verkligen ha varit uppenbart) och fortsatte att vänta på vår andra förrätt. När det äntligen kom var det också mycket trevligt. När vi avslutade den andra förrätten och svalde den sista munfyllda våren stod det igen. . . Och när vi smakade på dem var båda kalla eller ljumma i bästa fall. En var den dyraste måltiden på menyn, lammskuldra, så du kan förvänta dig bättre. När vi pratade med servitören försökte han diskutera poängen med oss, även om vi så småningom tog måltiderna tillbaka till köket som skulle bytas ut. Vid det här stadiet hade vi varit på restaurangen i en timme och 20 minuter och hade bara haft våra förrätter. Vi beslutade att springa upp den vita flaggan, gav upp och återvände till Fullerton för rumservice (vilket förresten var mycket bra!). Med tanke på 1821 är inte en billig restaurang kan jag inte rekommendera det någon, även om chefen var mycket professionell och hanterade vår missnöje väl, jag önskar att jag kunde säga detsamma för vår servitör.

Det har gått länge sedan jag fått känna mig så välkommen i en CBD-restaurang. Killarna vid 1821 är supervänliga, maten är sensationell, särskilt slaw & calamari & platsen har en fantastisk atmosfär. Kan inte vänta med att återvända! !

Vi besökte denna underbara grekiska restaurang till lunch och var så imponerad av kvaliteten på maten och den utmärkta kundservice som Michael tillhandahållit. Han var mycket uppmärksam och ingenting var för mycket besvär. Banketten erbjöd många val och vi åtnjöt särskilt kungsfisken carpaccio. Grekiska vinet var fantastiskt - vi hade 3 flaskor mellan 4 som visar hur underbart det var. En bra hitta som vi ser fram emot att besöka igen.

Efter att ha ätit här ett antal gånger har jag alltid haft denna restaurang - fram till idag. En bit kingfish ($ 39) så torr att det skulle skada Sahara. Den åtföljande såsen var trevlig men inte en utskjutning. Vi drick bara vatten, våra glasögon fylldes endast en gång under 1. 5 timmar som vi var där. Desserter var bra. Överallt, en besvikelse.

Bra mat, trevlig personal. God matval. Bläckfisk och kungsfisk carpaccio var utsökt. Trevlig miljö och ett bra vinutbud

Vi hade lunch här den 26 april det var en improviserad lunch men var det bästa beslutet vi har gjort på ett tag, fantastisk mat fantastiska och atmosfären är utmärkt. Skulle 100% rekommendera denna plats till lunch eller middag och vi kommer att vara 100% tillbaka vegetabilisk Moussaka ett måste tillsammans med det mesta av menyn.

Jag fick höra detta skulle vara den fina middagsversionen av Alpha (en annan grekisk plats) Nästan allt var här. . . väl. amatuerish. Först hälsade av en surly medelålders man. Serveras fina middagar delar men det är bara grekisk mat så charing några tentaklar och serverar en liten del tillät dem att ladda en arm och ett ben. De stekt bollarna och grekiska san choy bao var ett skämt att äta. Lammet var ömt och föll av benet men var fet och smaklös. Detta var deras nya meny, jag var en ny kund och en sista gångskund.

Jag har varit här några gånger men mitt senaste besök var ännu bättre med deras läckra nya meny! Skulle rekommendera.

Helt fantastisk mat, spektakulär service. Personalen var välbevarade i sin mat och mycket uppmärksam. Nästa gång jag är i Sydney kommer jag att vara tillbaka och det var en härlig introduktion till grekisk mat.

Vi har ätit här några gånger nu och varje gång jag kommer undan med samma uppfattning - att det gör vissa saker riktigt bra, men andra släpper ner dem. De goda, även bra bitarna först: Fit-out är enastående - högt i tak, långa fönster och en massiv flagg mejslad i väggen. Det har verkligen en bra känsla för det. Maten har alltid varit utmärkt och listan över vin är superb. Dock: Tjänsten är patchig och ointresserad och ingen verkar vara ansvarig eller dra den tillsammans. Saker tar för länge, med tanke på antalet personal som fräsar runt. Du förväntar dig mer, eftersom det här inte är en billig restaurang. Tala om vilka, ta hand om dig. Vi var nästan betalda $ 12 för kolsyrade vatten som vårt lokala café ger bort gratis, som det är gjort från kranvatten med ett system från Purezza.
