Today we originally planned to go The Argyle, but got turned away, claiming our shoes were too casual. On the way back we saw The Scary Canary and decided to try it. We had a great time. We stayed until the closing time. Great Service, Great music. The staff were really friendly.

Wheelchair accessible entrance and toilet. Bar staff are very accommodating! My assistance dog in training was very welcomed! Absolutely  coming back next time I’m in Sydney!  Beers are cold and delicious.

It is a hippie place to have some good fun .
It is not a fancy bar. The only beers are cheaper before 6pm because of happy hours ! It’s a great place to have much fun and know people!!

I went there for the Bingo nights and it was fun. The only thing I didn’t like was that when girls won a price, they still had to do something sometimes to get their price. Like a sexy dance for one guy who was working there. And even when they said no at first they were getting pushed to do it. Except of that it was pretty good.

Lots of people from different places, so diverse. Had so much fun. Everyone is really nice and staff are lovely. I’m only in Sydney for 4 nights but I came to this club to two of them and both times were thrilling! Definitely coming back. Silent disco and wet teeshirt contest were so fun.

Jag vill så gärna älska den här baren för dess billiga drinkar och roliga atmosfär, men en av servrarna bestämde att vi inte skulle serveras. det mest upprörande beteendet vi visade var när en låt vi gillade kom på och vi dansade. det här hade inte varit samma sak om vi båda varit killar. gör bättre! skapa en trygg plats för kvinnor :(

Gick för att ta en drink, hade inte ens haft en enda innan jag gick till läskiga och nekades inträde eftersom mina skor inte hade remmar på dem. Jag har aldrig hört talas om något så löjligt. Dessa studsare var absolut hemska människor som helt klart inte bryr sig om att deras anläggning förlorade pengar (jag hade ett sämre ord att använda med början med C) om det också, istället för att erbjuda en verklig anledning. Jag hoppas att de får sparken.

Stor plats med prisvärda drycker och vänlig barpersonal. Säkerhetsvakterna var dock tunga över alla frågor och en av dem sparkade ut vår vän efter att hon sköt ner hans framsteg vid flera tillfällen när hon var nykter. För att inte tala om att det hade tre gånger så många säkerhetsvakter som jag har sett på någon bar eller klubb. Därför kommer vi inte att gå tillbaka eftersom det leder till en ful miljö som matas av den giftiga maskuliniteten hos säkerhetsvakterna och deras vipvänner.

Lunchpaket är stort värde och mycket fyllande. Happy Hour har prisvärda drycker som passar alla budgetar. Ett bra ställe att ha en fantastisk natt ute.

Scary Canary Backpacker Bar är en del av Base Sydney-backpackers. Baren serverar måltider och drycker under dagen och blir ett diskotek / nattklubb på natten. Deras meny erbjuder olika och priserna är mycket rimliga. Personalen är vänlig och servicen är effektiv. Rekommenderas!

Mat på Scary Canary var lysande. Jag hade en kycklingrätt som såg och smakade fantastiskt, och var rimligt prissatt också. Kom på en måndag och deltog i deras lysande Trivia Quiz och stannade sedan för att dansa efteråt. DJ var lysande och spelade ett brett utbud av musik. Definitivt rekommendera, särskilt om du bor nextdoor på Base Backpackers!

Hade stek och chips särskilda. Var precis vad jag behövde tillsammans med en öl. Gratis pool vid vissa tider på eftermiddagen vilket är en bra touch för en lat eftermiddag som dyker upp på kvällen.

Exceptionell burger för $ 12, med en sida av marker. Kom på happy hour och öl är ganska billiga också.

Gick ut med några kamrater från Macquarie uni. På en fredag kväll och vi hade en härlig tid här. Förvänta dig inte en artig personal eftersom det tjänar folk i baren andra efter en sekund men kommer Grove någon gång på rytmen, skicka en blink eller en tacksam kyss, då och då. Se upp för dina nästan tomma glasögon eftersom de kommer att sopa borden för att se till att de samlar dem alla så att de städas och används igen i baren. Bouncers tittar alltid på nötknäppare men de eller oss hittade inte några. Lite om grooving med andra då och då gör allt detta medan ännu mer njuter. Har svårt att hitta en plats så se om du kan hålla din väska eller något när du går på dansgolvet. DJ valde att spela för 2010 ish spår som var väl blandade. Ganska bra plats för college folk och backpackers. Gå till deras husdryck och pizza och du kommer att gå hem lycklig.

Verkligen haft mat och drycker i denna bar, kyckling advocado sallad och stek smörgås var fantastisk och bästa värde för pengarna i Sydney. Rekommendera även om du inte är på en budget

Kom hit till lunch, bara slå den galna rushen. Det gick från tomma till människor överallt på bara några minuter. Tjänsten var ok, inte snabb, inte särskilt vänlig, bara tillräcklig. Mat var ok, men biff var inte kokta som jag frågade.

Kan ha en fruktansvärd DJ som spelar musik till personer som inte lyssnar, kan ha excentrisk folkmassa, men bortsett från det, en väldigt billig vinlista och på en onsdag den dag jag besökte var biffnatt $ 12. Stek var kokta perfekt, marker var varma och välsmakande som var källan. Mat och vin definitivt värt ett besök för biffnatt.

Blandade drycker svaga. Att ha en kväll med vänner hade inte druckit mycket alls och blev plötsligt sparkad utan någon anledning. Frågade varför, de vägrade att säga, bad om namn på säkerhet, de lyfte sina ögonbryn på mig. Mina vänner som var vita eller kvinnliga fick alla stanna kvar, men de var fulla. Stoppades från att få mina ägodelar och var tvungna att stå i hällregn eftersom det inte var tillåtet att stå under markisen. Efter att ha betalat som beskyddare, äckligt att behandlas så här. Vid läsning av andra recensioner ser jag differentierad behandling av hudfärger och könsceller är en trend.

Att vara granne med en backpackers är ett bra sätt att träffas med alla sorters människor som du aldrig skulle träffas annars. Plats saknar lite stil men när du har en grupp tillsammans kan du bara gå någonstans bättre

Den enda skrämmande sak i denna plats är musiken och bristen på skicklighet hos Dj. Den försiktiga inställningen hos säkerhetspersonalen kommer att döda av någon avslappnad atmosfär. Lång historia kort: värsta plats någonsin.
