We had a great experience and Jackson treated us handsomely. The eggplant was the highlight, really , really good, crispy, smoky, flavourful. The pork chops were also very good.

The dumplings and the blood sausage weren’t impressive. The cod roe was really interesting.

While it was good, for that price point and level of hype I was expecting something really impressive, and it wasn’t necessarily that. The kitchen was slow at times with weird waiting times between dishes and then several coming at once. The food was very good but save the eggplant nothing really blew my mind.

We had the set menu. The starters (Potato bread, Roasted oyster and Raw scallop) were amazing, especially the spread with the Potato bread. The bread had an amazing texture and the fish roe butter was super flavorful. The rest of the course was ok, but the presentation was a little bit below expectation. The service was great, where they put a candle on my dessert when I told them prior that it was a birthday dinner.

Got the classic set menu, the food was delicious and so were the drinks. Service was great, they paid attention to your glass and kept filling the water. Also got recommended a great wine and they swapped out one of the items on the menu for another. Gave us a little candle as we'd noted it was our anniversary.

Enkel, svag belysning och mycket minimal inredning men all personal var supertrevlig. Omfattande vinlista och njöt grundligt av oz-vinerna i kombination med min måltid. Portioner av provsmakaren var massiv, lätt bra för 2 pax så bättre dyka upp hungrig när du väljer provsmakaren. Whisky Wagyu-filén tillagades perfekt och resten av maten var god. Bra aus - asiatisk fusion tycker jag och creme brulee och cocosorbeten med sake var en fröjd.

Maten var underbar och servicen fantastisk trevlig och avslappnad bara hicka var inte inser att det var en fast meny för kvällen så några rätter inte förväntas men gör mig vill gå tillbaka som det smakade bra

Jag är inte säker på att jag förstår hypen. Maten var god men ingenting riktigt stack ut. Till exempel recenserar han rave om det jästa potatishuvudet men det är bara en fint bakad rulle som man kan förvänta sig av någon high end restaurang. Kungsräkan var också god men jag kände att något saknades för att få den att sticka ut. Inte illa men inte bra. Slutligen uppgraderade jag till wagyu scotch fileé som var utmärkt. Köttet var mört, smakrikt men täckt av någon purégrönsak vilket inte var nödvändigt. Biffen var vacker av sig själv. Sammantaget var det en miss för mig.

Bra mat, säger jag bättre till för att dela, sitter i baren som serveras av skäggig bartender med leende och professionalism, om jag kan ge ett litet råd, kanske lägga till fler australiensiska viner, jag älskar franska viner men jag föredrar att prova fler lokalbefolkningen.

Bra mat. Personalen uppmärksam. Det enda negativa var, platsen var alldeles för varmt och när vi lämnade alla våra kläder luktade från maten.

För det första är detta inte en plats för barn så ta inte med dem. Efter det kunde jag inte klandra det från servicen till maten enastående. Jag bokade ursprungligen för natten men vet inte var jag läste men bytte till lunch som jag trodde att de hade en barnmeny. Vi började med potatisbröd med rom som var ok men för $ 25 lite överdrivet. Därefter åt vi ostpaj med chilisås vilket var gott. Barn åt det utan chilisås. Nästa var kycklingknytet som jag tyckte var där uppe med en av de bästa buljonger jag någonsin ätit. Smaskens Sist åt vi fläskkotlett som var så mört och gott. För 75 dollar var det tvunget. Rekommenderar starkt men lämna barnen hemma.

Detta var helt klart den bästa middagen på vår Sydneysemestern. Självklart rätt så dyrt men maten var magisk. Framför allt de vegetariska rätterna. Älskar när man gör magiska rätter av enkla råvaror. Vinlistan var lång och rätt så dyr men vinet var verkligen korrekt tempererat.

Gick hit för min fars födelsedag idag och var så mycket nöjd med matvalen. Höjdpunkter inkluderar tonfisk tartare, hängare biff och honung tårta. Vi var ett parti av 7 och tjänsten var utmärkt.

Lite dissens här från alla positiva recensioner. Det var kanske det vi beställde! Hela John Dory, som var välsmakande och med en intressant presentation - - täckt i skivor av stekt purjolök som ser ut som våg. Men min var tillagad för att kött inte skulle komma från ben. Servitrisen tog tillbaka den till kocken och rapporterade att han sa att den var perfekt tillagad. Senare tog någon annan tillbaka den, samma halvätade fisk och sa att de hade "värmt upp" den lite mer. Den här gången gjordes det ordentligt. Men de flesta platser skulle ha ersatt fisken. Hur som helst, det större problemet var att vi beställde den rostade blomkålen vad som badade i samma tunga gräddsås som John Dory, så inte bara var det en tung måltid utan för mycket av samma sås. Servitrisen som annars var helt trevlig borde ha varnat oss, tror jag. Stämningen på platsen - - typ av industriell chic och varm - kompenserade till stor del för matens snafus. På Uber-förarens förslag gick vi ett par kvarter bort till Spice Alley vilket är värt en titt.

Stor fin matupplevelse. Vinprovningsmenyn var full av överraskningar och alla väldigt smakrika, god blandning av ostron, räkor, nötkött och veggie tallrikar.

Mycket intim atmosfär, mat var på den exotiska sidan som vanligtvis inte finns i andra restauranger. (potatisbröd, rostad ostron, bränd pav, signatur kungräka osv.) Boka ett måste som var fullbokad på fredagskvällen vi deltog. Tjänsten var bra men pris på hög sida men ok för den speciella besöket en gång i taget.

Vi var här för vårt bröllopsdag. Jag hade granskat den här restaurangen på nätet och tyckte att den skulle få 2 hattar i Sydney CBD. Jag måste hålla med om att maten var enastående. Menyn var ganska otydlig i listan och först var berörda av begränsat val, men när vi valde och serverade vår mat fanns det ingenting vi kunde fel i smak eller presentation. Interiörens stil var inte exakt vad jag skulle kalla romantisk eller intim om det är det du letar efter. Tjänsten och kunskapen från personalen var imponerande och vi var totalt sett nöjda med middagsupplevelsen. Parkering var inte lätt - tänk på att det var en lördagskväll

Efter en bokning 2 månader i förväg och läser recensioner hade vi höga förväntningar. Tyvärr var inte dessa förväntningar uppfyllda. Vi väntade på att vara välkomna och sittande. Vi beställde och min fru haft hennes räkor men resten av disken var bra men inte bra. Tyvärr stannade vi inte för att försöka desserterna eftersom efter en 30 minuters väntan på att slutligen rensa våra rätter vi tänkte det kan vara ett tag att få serveras.

Röda ögat serveras i två kurser - som en tartare och som en laddad tagliatelle cut fest. Smaken var himmelsk. Medföljande grönsaker var perfekta som vinet. Se till att boka din speciella måltid här som restaurangen är väldigt populär.

Vi fick en present till ester och gick till söndags lunch. Chippenndale är en udda del av Sydney så det var bra att prova ester. Personalen var välkomnande och vänliga, vi började med cocktail, Basil Fawlty och deras surdej öl, båda ovanliga. Beslutade att ha den fasta provsmakningsmenyn och detta var ett smart beslut. Rätterna är så olika men alla var läckra och överraskande. Bakade ostron var förmodligen bäst så vi beställde mer! Föreslå försöker denna meny. Vin är inte vad du normalt hittar, men vi hittade en stor ljusröd. En sen skörd riesling med öknen var trevlig, vänster över syrgad glass var en hit. Skulle definitivt besöka igen.
