I finally had the chance to visit one of the popular spots on my list! But here's a heads-up: if you can visit on a weekday, avoid the weekends at all costs. The 10% weekend surcharge hit harder than I expected—my wallet definitely felt it. Thankfully, the food didn't disappoint.

**Crumbed Egg on Toast**
This dish was one of the more unique brunch options. The pulled beef was delicious, and the greens, though I couldn't quite identify them, added a salty contrast that blended perfectly with the beef. The crumbed egg itself was a bit overcooked, so it didn't quite hit the mark, but overall, the dish had a great mix of textures and flavors.

**Fried Chicken Waffle**
I was a bit skeptical about this combo, but it worked surprisingly well! The sauce with the fried chicken got a bit heavy after a while, the dish was still enjoyable.

**Flat White**
At $5.5, the coffee was a little on the pricey side, especially for a small cup. The latte art was a nice touch, though, and the taste was decent.

In total, we spent around $60 for two people, and the surcharge felt like paying for an extra coffee. Weekend surcharges are getting out of hand, so if you have the flexibility, I'd strongly recommend coming on a weekday.

We enjoyed our lunch at PCP. Hidden away in the back streets of Surry Hills this cafe was good. Not super impressive but good.

It was a Sunday lunch time (12pm) we had a 20 minute wait for a table. That was fine, as we were expecting that. A significant portion is communal seating. So if you're looking to come here for a private and quiet chat, then this probably isn't the place.
The coffee was ok, I've had better. The coffee beans have a sweeter and less intense flavour, which is not personally my liking.

The signature crumbed eggs on toast was really good! Unfortunately the hash browns were soggy. The soft baked eggs my husband didn't enjoy. The burger was not bad.

Prices are very high. So don't expect value. For three people, 4 coffees, three meals (on the smaller portion size) and hash browns cost $130.
Also what let us down was the service, the couple of waitresses we had just weren't helpful and were short and came across sarcastic.

We came here to this popular and vibrant cafe for coffee during the Christmas holidays. There was a fast-moving queue and we were offered a centre table which happened to be perfect for people-watching. I ordered a maple almond cold brew which was very lovely and my friend had a latte.

Decided to try this one out
There was a big line up as we got here but waited about 10-15min before we got a table.
It looks like their main dish is the Fried Chicken Waffle but we all decided to try something different.

Overall the coffee was ok but not the absolute best

Miso French Toast  with vanilla ice cream
I typically don’t order sweet breakfast but tried this one. It wasn’t super sweet as the miso helped cut through the sweetness. The French toast was thick and fried accompanied with vanilla ice cream with corn flakes and macadamia nuts. The edges of the French toast was nice

Crumbed Eggs with pulled pork
The crust of the sourdough was a little too crunchy and the pulled pork was very dry

It was good, very delicious

Awesome spot for brunch. We were there on a Saturday morning, and it was buzzing! The space is welcoming with lots of natural light and high ceilings. It had a great vibe and perfect for people watching! Overall, good coffee, prompt and friendly service, delicious food with fresh ingredients, and a great atmosphere. Take note that there's a 10% weekend surcharge and 20% on public holidays.
