Wow this was a highlight of my evening. Maybe a little difficult to find - we had to ask the doorman of the hotel? directly opposite but I got the sense that he probably gets asked quite a lot and he very happily pointed the door out to us. The only negative I have of the whole experience was the dimly lit staircase (def do recommend you use the lift) as I could not see the steps so you could very easily break an ankle.
However once at the basement bar we received exemplary and professional service, were offered an option of where to sit and had made it in time for the weekday happy hour that provided a mini martini and 6 oysters (with a very original and delicious accompaniment) for only $24 ! The space is beautiful, the staff are very helpful and smartly dressed. I will def be returning.
If you love gin or whisky this is def for you - there was an enormous choice.

Great atmosphere. Our server was a little abrupt, but efficient. Cocktail selection was great. I enjoyed my Hearts on Fire especially since it came with a show. Lady White Snake was also good, but way too much ice.
My sister's Serpent Song was good, but pretty sweet.
Enjoyed the olives and oysters as well.

Now this is a speakeasy!! Crafted cocktails to perfection and such a variety to pick from. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Such creative ways to present and serve all the different cocktails. If I could rate this establishment higher I would! I’m a gin lover and these crafted cocktails did not disappoint

Loved this hidden bar. They make some unique cocktails and have a very wide selection of spirits. Their whisky range is extensive. Staff are knowledgeable. Facilities are clean and it is located very close to the train station and bus stop. It's a little difficult to locate. You can enter from the train station or Wynyard lane. They accept card and cash.

Awesome vibes, the staff are super cool. I've had a book of their cocktails for like 10 years but for some reasons never made it here. And now I have, and super stoked. Took my wife here for her birthday. Staff made us feel at home and I can't wait to go back. I would say the only thing is that it's not laid back, but that's also the charm.

Försökte ett par olika cocktails som alla var läckra! Stort utbud av whiskyer som serveras så väl du vill. Personalen var vänlig och hjälpsam och visade oss via menyn och hjälpte oss att hitta en drink vi skulle vilja. Perfekt atmosfär för en avslappnad drink!

Mat / dryck: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Städning: 4/5 Inredning och stil: 3/5 Detta var en bra bar med unika drycker men atmosfären var inte lika bra som jag trodde det skulle vara. Kanske eftersom tjänsten var lite långsam så vi stannade inte här länge (förutom att vänta på tjänsten och drycker). Jag antar att jag jämför denna plats till andra speakeasy i Sydney och detta var var inte så bra men övergripande jag skulle fortfarande betygsätta det en 4/5 eftersom om de hade en i min hemstad skulle jag älska det! LOL.

Det här är en liten bar från början av 40-talets temar värld. Unmarked men ange Kirketon Hotel och gå förbi skrivbordet. Det är i slutet av hallen. "Det var naturligtvis bra att vi var väl nöjda med resultatet. Alla åldrar och alla hade en bra natt. Fantastisk atmosfär och priserna var rimliga. En mycket lycklig hitta för oss. Vi hade ingen aning om. Om jag bodde i närheten skulle jag vara regelbunden. Jag tror att det finns ett litet rum i ryggen för händelser etc. Kunde inte betygsätta det tillräckligt mycket. Gå.

Ha varit i Ea de Vie i Melbourne, jag var tvungen att prova den i Sydney. . . och jag blev inte besviken. En fördel över Melbourne plats är att denna plats är långt les trångt, vilket är ett stort plus. Ankomma tidigt och du kommer att ha baren och personalen själv. För det första är cocktails här fantastiska, alla väl gjorda, bra meny så mycket val för alla, ingen begäran för mycket. Användningen av väte och liknande för att frysa din drink och för häxorna brugg effekten gjorde det verkligen en spektakulär show, titta på andra bord få deras drycker var så mycket roligt. Min espresso zabaione var bara fantastisk, såg perfekt och smakade ännu bättre som var min vodka martinis. Ett bra slut på natten. Gör bok om helgen, mitten av veckan borde du vara okej.

Den här är lite undangömd på baksidan av ett hotell, så det är inte så lätt att hitta. Vi hittade det eftersom vi råkade bo på hotellet men vi är så glada att vi hittade det! Ärligt fantastiskt drycker! Älskade älva floss en.

Wow vad en plats! Jag tog min man här för sin födelsedag eftersom de har ett brett utbud av whisky. Jag bokade ett bord som jag läste de kunde bli ganska upptagen. Vi hade problem med att hitta platsen eftersom det är gömt inne i ett hotell och det finns ingen skyltning utanför. Det känns nästan som filmerna. . . Du går in i dörrarna som säger "toaletter" och bakom dörrarna är denna rökiga, mörka och mysiga bar. De har fantastiska cocktails med lite teater bifogas den. Servitören som tjänstgjorde oss var stor som han är mycket charmig och denna spelning passar honom perfekt! Värt minst ett besök! !

Jag följde med en grupp 6 till denna härligt bar under Mardi Gras 2017 . Det slutade med att inleda den bästa natten hade vi att hela helgen! Gör en bokning som de kommer ganska hektiskt. Du kommer att sitta med en omfattande cocktailmeny längs bekväma solstolar i läder. Min högst upp skäl att gå: 1 . den atmosfär. 2) Den icke - vanlig cocktails - speciellt espresso martini dem! Sprickor som grädde som har varit mest förhärdade med kväve är så tillfredsställande. 3. Personalen - mycket kunnig och välkomnande. 4 . Att unna dig efter middagen - mycket bättre än en andra klassens dessert. 5 . Det priset - rimligt med tanke på nivån av ansträngning och ingredienser används. Observera: 1 kreditkort per bord.

Stannade i några drinkar en födelsedag och hade en fantastisk tid lapa atmosfär med några roliga, fantasifulla cocktails. Har åkt tillbaka några gånger sedan dess. Nära till en några få riktigt bra restauranger så väl värt att lägga 30 minuter åt sidan innan middagen att njuta av en pre - middag drink på de Cornavin de Vie.

Jag provade tre olika cocktails. De var alla mycket unika och utsökt. Detta skulle vara ett fantastiskt ställe att ta ett datum eller en klient. Inredningen är fantastisk och till att dryckerna är fantastisk. Även om du är i Sydney en kort stund försöker att stoppa in för minst en cocktail.
