Incredible!!! If you like American BBQ this has to be the best place in Sydney. We ordered the Texan platter for 6 people and it was amazing. The meat on the ribs fell off the bone, the fried chicken was so tasty, the shrimp and sausages were delicious and the sauces were amazing! The portions were also very very generous… They had an excellent cocktail selection too. The owners are very hospitable, friendly and accomodating and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Simply amazing 🤩

If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, look no further than Roast Republic, and ask for Gary to be your server. This place is a hidden gem in Sydney, and Gary is truly the star of the show. From the moment we sat down, he went above and beyond to ensure our meal was perfect.

My family has specific dietary restrictions—being Indian, we avoid beef for religious reasons. Gary immediately took the time to guide us through the menu and thoughtfully adjusted the set meals to accommodate our needs. He didn’t just make changes to the menu but he made us feel genuinely cared for, offering alternatives and suggestions that suited our preferences.

As if that wasn’t enough, Gary threw in complimentary sausages for free that we absolutely loved. His attention to detail and the personal touch he added to our dining experience went beyond just serving food, it was as if he truly wanted us to enjoy every bite.🤣

Now, let’s talk about the food—WOW! We’re from Melbourne, and I can honestly say that this is some of the best food I’ve ever had. It wasn’t just tasty; it was a perfect balance of flavors, cooked to absolute perfection. The experience was so amazing that I wouldn’t hesitate to make the trip from Melbourne to Sydney just to eat here again.

If you want incredible food and service that makes you feel like family, Roast Republic and Gary are an absolute must. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the service are so exceptional.

We ate lunch here and it was 10/10. We ordered the NYC Steak, Ribs, and Shrimp share board with the buffalo chicken wings. The ribs were perfect, tasty and melt in your mouth. The steak was seasoned to perfection and cooked exactly how we asked. The only critique would be the chicken wings need to be spicier! The staff were very helpful and eager to serve us. I would recommend this restaurant to all in Sydney.

We came here for lunch on Christmas Day and the food was so so so good. Just a minor criticism was that as the restaurant got busier, multiple wait staff tried to take dishes from our table several times, sometimes while we were still eating or drinking from them - yet it was extremely difficult to get anyone’s attention to order extra drinks and dessert. A bit annoying, but not enough to stop us from coming back again. Delicious!

CHEATED ME AND SERVED POOR QUALITY FOOD

We had steak, ribs and shrimp for (2) but unfortunately ALL of it was a disappointment.

First of all, when I was presented with a Bill for $128 for the steak, ribs and shrimp per the attached receipt, I told the waiter that I thought the steak, ribs and shrimp was $128 but he said NO it is $138. However, when I got back to the hotel, I decided to look at the menu online and sure enough, it was $128. So not only did we receive a poor quality and a poorly prepared meal but we were CHEATED out of $10.

Secondly, the steak was NOT tender and the shrimp was over cooked but the ribs were the worst. There was so much fat on the ribs. The ribs were 80% fat and 20% meat. We informed the waiter who brought over the manager / owner. The manager / owner made excuses stating that lamb ribs have a lot of fat but from our perspective, the chief should have trimmed the fat. The manager / owner was never concerned about our dissatisfaction. He probably did not care because we are from the USA and he was aware we were from the USA so he figured he won't be seeing us again. Therefore, we simply received the bill for that awful food. I don't know why this place has such high ratings but this was a huge waste of money.

Frugan hade surf & torv, hon yrade om det också, en stor räka dekorerade biffen. $ 78. Inte en chans att jag sa, du kan inte avsluta det! Det gjorde hon bara på grund av smakerna. Vi återkommer! Min son och jag besökte Roast Republic på en fredag kväll och blev positivt överraskad. Trots att inte ha en reservation, var vi varmt välkomna och snabbt sittande. Lokalen är liten men ändå snygg och väldesignad — men med så här god mat skulle jag gärna äta den på gatan! Vi beställde Mixed Grill för två, och det var helt enastående. Varje köttbit tillagades till perfektion, precis som vi begärde, med den där oemotståndliga grillrödingen. Smakerna var rika och expertbalanserade, och den medföljande majsen och salladerna var fräscha, levande och fulla av smak. Personalen var uppmärksam utan att vara påträngande, vilket bidrar till den övergripande exceptionella upplevelsen. Om du är i Sydney, gör dig själv en tjänst och besöka Roast Republic - det är ett måste - prova för någon grillälskare!

Bara ett ord för beskriv : STOR Jag var där den 2 september för lunch Platsen är mycket trevligt, alla bord är separerade med bra utrymme för att vara tillfreds och bekväm. Vi upptäckte denna pärla när du är på semester med en familj på 5 , barn som sträcker sig från tween till tonåring. Detta var en homerun redan från början. Menyn är inriktad på att dela tallrikar, där bara en bra bräda och några sidor lätt kan tillfredsställa alla. Lammrevbenen var minnesvärda, elote (majs) var värt priset för brädan ensam, och kycklingsmörgåsen var en av de bästa vi någonsin haft. Vårt råd med tonåringar: revbenen + burger board var perfekt för att dela 3 sätt. Varje tillbehör vi provsmakade under de två dagarna gjorde ingen besviken, våra favoriter är jalapeno poppers och räkor. Cocktailarna var alltid spektakulära, barnen njöt till och med av mocktailversionerna! Personalen var bortom vänlig, och vi kände som röda mattan rullades ut när vi avslöjade att vi hade rest för en milstolpe födelsedag. Jag skulle inte tveka att återvända igen - förmodligen den bästa maten du hittar i centrala Sydney!

Vänlig uppmärksam personal och utsökt mat. Menyn har så många bra alternativ. Blomkålen är särskilt god, majsen var utmärkt. Vi hade ett urval - fläskkotletter, biff, revben. Jag tror att biffen var valet av dem - extra god adn tillagad till perfektion. Jag njöt av en mocktail, pojkarna hade riktiga och älskade dem. Efterrätten var lite för mycket mat. Pecanpajen såg god ut och den friterade Marsbaren avnjöts mycket.

Fantastisk mat och service. Alla amerikanska favoriter. Våffla pommes frites, revbensspjäll, slaw och buffelvingar med blåmögelostdressing. Sköljde ner den med en Margherita.

Den bästa restaurangen vi besökte i Sydney. Menyn var full av bra val. Vi delade på calamari, lastade pommes frites och wagyubringa. Maten var av denna värld. Enda bättre än maten var servicen. Definitivt en ny hotspot för oss!
