The aquarium is stunning, though I wish the windows were a bit cleaner. Still, the overall experience is definitely worth it. I particularly enjoyed the short boat ride through the penguin exhibit. It was amazing getting so close to the sharks. Despite its smaller size, I highly recommend this aquarium. However, I wouldn’t suggest visiting the nearby wildlife park, it didn’t seem worth the money.

Very large building with lots to do. There were a variety of fishes, sharks, sting rays and penguins.
It was very busy when I was there (weekday and school holidays) which was a negative for me. Would recommend going early in the morning and not during school holidays to avoid the crowd.

Super enjoyed our first visit in SEA LIFE SYDNEY Aquarium. Lots of underwater/sea animals to see. No wait as we immediately able to enter since we bought our tickets online and booked our schedule the day before.

Food is available inside but only for light snack (more options outside if you need to eat proper meals). Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothes as you'll need to walk A LOT inside. Fun experience with the penguins and also able to hold/touch starfishes.

It is a wonderful place to take the family and kids, a large variety of fish and sea life (sharks, stingrays, penguins).
There are some interactive photo stops along the way too.
Book ahead online to avoid queues at the ticket booth. Recommend families with little kids to go during the week as the weekend is very busy.
If you have a stroller, try not to take it. Ours was always in the way, kids running into it and nowhere to place it. Some of the walkways are narrow and can take a while to walk through.
On the plus, you can take your time and explore every part of the aquarium!

"Great Experience, But Room for Improvement"

I recently visited SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and had a great time overall! The highlight for me was definitely the sharks—seeing them up close was an incredible experience. The underwater tunnel gives you a unique perspective, and it’s truly awe-inspiring to watch these magnificent creatures glide past you.

The aquarium also has a diverse range of marine life, including beautiful fish, seahorses, and rays. The interactive exhibits were fun and educational, making it a great stop for both families and animal lovers.

However, I did feel a bit concerned about the living conditions for the penguins. While the penguin exhibit is fun to watch, the space seemed a bit small for such active animals, and I couldn’t help but feel that they could benefit from a more natural environment. It’s something I hope the aquarium will address in the future.

That being said, if you’re roaming around the city and have some time to spare, I’d definitely recommend stopping by SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium. It’s an enjoyable experience with plenty to see, especially if you’re fascinated by marine life.
