Awesome venue! Best Chinese food. Brilliant service. Food came quickly and Never had an empty drink. Harrison was super friendly and brought fun hospitality vibes to the lunch ⭐️

We were well taken care of by a young whipper named Harrison. He gave our table the kind of service your wife expects when a lightly moustached fellow comes to clean the pool. Saucy and well attended. I loved the food and our man on the day was even better. Thanks Bob, thanks Harrison will definitely be back

When you arrive, don't expect authentic Chinese food. This is an Australian museum serving quintessential authentic Australian food from the 80s....(believe it or not that's 50 years ago)... there's no other place like this in the world.

And it's bloody awesome mate!

They have prawn toast, special fried rice and your classic Aussie dim sum, all cooked with the breath of the dragon (WOK HAY). Wash it down with a beer and then top it all off with a deep fried Vienetta.

For the people who don't understand, this is a brewery with a Chinese themed kitchen. It's masterfully authentically non-authentic. It's decor and theming is deliberate and spot on! This place would never survive in Eastwood, or Cabra because the target market is your classic Aussie battler.

Finish your visit off via the restroom and listening to a recording of cricket commentary. Admire posters of beer and progressive social etiquette signs.

We had a great time here and highly recommend a visit. The food was really nice, we ordered the prawn toast, cucumber salad, beef in black bean sauce and rice. We ordered the sweet and sour pork too but that was not good tbh- it tasted like it had vanilla in it and was way too sweet. The dark beer was also delicious and the atmosphere was really good with a DJ.

Om du bara drack öl här så är upplevelsen bra. Men sju dollar för ett vanligt glas Cola Zero? På en söndag, $ 66 för en vanlig flaska rött vin? Verkar dyrt. Maten är bra men inte exceptionell.

Gå inte. Visst, maten är fantastisk. Men personalen och Servicen är fruktansvärd. Mycket inre väster. Vaknade, vänstermänniskor som inte är öppna för människor med olika kulturella bakgrunder. Några av mina anställda kände sig upprörda.

Jag hade inte höga förväntningar innan jag besökte Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre, men det var en verkligt minnesvärd och utsökt upplevelse. Jag besökte med min fru och våra vänner medan du utforskar den nya tunnelbanan - Hawkey's är bara några minuters promenad från Sydenham station. Den avslappnade och vänliga personalen var snabb och tillmötesgående, öl och dryck urval var stor och inte alltför dyrt, och maten var fantastisk. Varje hörn av stället verkade dölja en annan nostalgisk njutning - ända ner till Richie Benaud och Tony Greig cricket kommentar på slinga i toaletterna. Se till att ta dig tid och kolla in Bobs historiska prydnadssaker som visas i poolrummet. Jättekul. Strunta i gråtande barn som klagar på dålig Service, vi har inget annat än beröm. Karenerna brukar skörda vad de sår.

Jag gick till Hawke’s för inte så länge sedan och tyvärr var servicen chockerande dålig, främst på grund av vår servitör Harrison. Från början var hans attityd oförskämd och avvisande, vilket fick oss att känna att vi besvärade honom. För att göra saken värre, Harrison spillde en drink på min vän, en olycka, visst men IT är ovidkommande. Denna brist på grundläggande professionalism satte verkligen en dämpare på vår kväll. Positivt nog var maten enastående. Rätterna var smakrika, väl - utförda och vackert presenterade. Men Harrison gjorde stapla 4 - 5 rätter runt min ena vän vilket gör upplevelsen trångt och inte njutbar. IT är bara synd att upplevelsen fördärvades av så dålig service. Jag hoppas verkligen att ledningen tar denna feedback på allvar, eftersom köket förtjänar bättre än att överskuggas av ett sådant avvisande beteende från framsidan av huset. Som avslutning sa Harrison “är du redo att gå” till oss alla innan du betalar för notan som vi fann otroligt oförskämd.

Detta har varit på radarn ett tag och vi blev inte besvikna. Detta är ett lokalt bryggeri som kombinerar sin verksamhet med en Kinesiska restaurang. Allt kan beställas från bordet och levereras inom rimlig tid. Ölen är riktigt bra men stjärnan på detta ställe är maten. IT är bara fantastisk.

Löjlig kväll - vuxna män bråkade men blev inte utkastade, men min vän och jag blev utkastade för att vi visslade efter en halv flaska vin var... det är inte vad Bob skulle ha velat...

Hemsk så kallad kinamat. Sötsurt fläsk bbq stil? Sesamhonungskyckling var smaklös. Personalen verkade olycklig. Deco grotta och skum kommer ut ur säten Oförglömlig upplevelse att aldrig försöka igen.

Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre är kylt och funky som erbjuder bra kinesisk mat, generösa portioner och öl till rimliga priser. Det finns sittplatser inomhus och utomhus och ett biljardbord. Denna lokal är under ny ledning. Riktigt bra stämning!

Besökte ett par månader tillbaka i augusti och var inte besviken. En stor öl plats med ett stort öl urval och en stor kinesisk restaurang på plats. Verkligen haft Backroom med Biljardbord och Lounge. Ser fram emot ett Framtidsbesök.

Jag glömmer var jag ens läst om denna plats men om jag kom ihåg att jag skulle skicka den förläggaren en present för att leda oss dit - det var höjdpunkten på vår senaste resa till Sydney. En riktig nostalgisk nedsänkning! Inte din genomsnittliga bryggpub som är säker. Det måste finnas någon aspekt som vem som helst i alla åldrar skulle gilla även om du är för ung för att veta vem Bob Hawke är! Det är roligt, rent, upptaget och snabbt. Inte många ”dryckesställen” skryter med alla fyra med full pott för varje. Du behöver inte vara i linje med arbetarpartiet för att insupa minnena av Australien som denna plats ger. Vilken lysande idé och grattis till grundarna! Om det var på min bakgård skulle jag vara där varje fredag ... .. även om det var för en rosé och inte öl. Vi skulle definitivt återvända för räkorna toast: ) Vi hade bara några snacks i baren men helt klart måste en 80-tals extravagans ”Chinese Meal” på Lucky Prawn ätas nästa gång — — ahhhh, när sådana som sötsurt fläsk och honungssesamkyckling var A och O hela Australian Chinese dining! ! ! ! Priserna är verkligen berättigade. Oavsett om du dricker och/eller äter mycket eller lite, får denna plats dig att le. Vi kan inte vänta med att återvända.

Killarna som satte ihop det här konceptet är genier. Maten på turräkorna är exceptionell. Ett måste att besöka men bokningar är svåra att få tag på. Älskar det här stället!

Ett roligt ställe att koppla av med familj och vänner. Och ölen är inte så dålig heller! Personalen var vänlig och tillmötesgående. Även om det var fullt upp när vi besökte på en onsdag eftermiddag, det fanns gott om utrymme att koppla av och njuta av vårt eget utrymme. Tydligen missade vi Keith Urban dagen innan! Älskar listan på vem man ska ta en öl med!

Verkligen haft min upplevelse här. Vi tog några öl och lunch. Jag är normalt inte ett fan av hantverksöl men jag njöt ganska mycket av det större. Turräkor var gammaldags kinesiska som jag minns det som barn på 80-talet. Vi tittade på minnessakerna intressanta ! Och spelade några omgångar biljard. Jag kommer tillbaka.

Bra lunch, hade inte varit så pigg från början då kinesisk mat inte är min favorit, men det här var riktigt gott. Älskade calamari, honungskyckling och stekt ris. Memorabilia var riktigt intressant, inredning kul och retro. Jag dricker inte öl, men det fanns massor av annat att erbjuda, så jag missade inte. Min man njöt av dem han provade.

Vi fick ett utbud av rätter alla av dem var generösa i storlek och smakade bra. Honungssojakycklingen var en utstickare med kycklingen mör. Servicen var snabb och vänlig. Hoppas att vara tillbaka snart.
