Took the wife and kids (11 and 13) here for the first time and absolutely loved it.

At first, I wasn’t sure. Let’s be real, it’s not the prettiest place, and I was a bit skeptical. But then I reminded myself it’s a pub, not a fine dining spot. Once I got past that, we ordered a mix of dishes. The steak, burgers, and salads were spot on. Way better than a lot of high-end restaurants I’ve been to. Super impressed. Just keep in mind you’ll need to place your order at the bar.

Prices were really reasonable for what you get, which was a nice surprise.

Only downside was parking. Street parking is pretty limited, but there are Wilson and other local car parks nearby. At the time of writing this, we paid $20 for 4 hours, which wasn’t too bad.

Overall, a solid experience, and we’ll definitely be back.

Been there for the first time. The place was cozy but atmosphere as really amazing. Its a small brewery but wonderful to have some chats with friends and drink. They have tasting beer and you can choose from different variants. And while they serve, they even let you the which one’s are the soft and hard with receipt of drinks simultaneously. The food runner ladies were very friendly.
The view from the balcony is amazing, you can see the sunset. Overall my experience was wonderful. Might visit their very soon.

The Angus cheese burger is cooked just right. The crumbled chicken is crispy and the sauce is not your ordinary catchup. The beer is fresh and fruity. The only complaint is the fires overcooked.  Although it is close to the beach, there is no view. All blocked by the Manly Wharf.

Great micro brewery, the beer was lush. Food was really good with a burger, palmi, beef pie & barramundi if you are in Sydney well worth the visit

We stumbled upon this brewery when leaving manly and oh so glad that we did.

Now this place gets crowded but you can reserve a table, which I highly suggest. We didn’t have reservations but we’re able to snag a seat at a side table. We had the hazy pale ale and an amber, both weren’t bad but the star of the show was the fish and chips. The fish was fantastically prepared and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. It came with fries, pickles and tartar and everything on the plate was superb. Although the tartar was fantastic, the fish did not need it as it was crispy and flavorful.

I’d 💯 go back just for the fish and chips

It's #thurstythursday and #throwbackthursday and I'm reminiscing about visiting my first brewery in Australia. I was on an 8hr layover in Sydney on my way to Perth and decided to venture out to Manly via the harbor water taxi. It was in the middle of a hellacious rainstorm, so the ferry ride was definitely "lively". 4Pines Brewpub was the closest brewery to the quay, so I made a run for it and was greeted with a nice beer selection (did a flight #natch ), friendly staff, ample seating (w/a view), and respite from the storm. It was a great way to say g'day to beer in Oz! Definitely recommend stopping by if you're ever in that neck of the woods DownUnder as it is super convenient to the Corso which takes you to Manly Beach. The Draught Kölsch 4.6% The American Amber Ale 5.1% The ESB (Extra Special Bitter) 5.4% The Irish Dry Stout 5.1%

We didn't have any food here so not eating on that but it's a good size brewery and the beer was actually quite delicious! The bar tenders were all nice and friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. It's quite a nice place with music playing and everyone enjoying themselves!

We had a great time here eating and . They are conveniently located right across from the Manly ferry station. I only wish their seating was a bit higher so you can see more of the water while you eat. It's a fast casual format, so you order and pay at the register, and then food is delivered to you. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. We tried the shepherds pie, steak and fries (medium rare cooked to perfection with just salt and pepper), and their fish and chips. The latter was fried perfectly, with the fish still very moist while the outside was crispy. I'm an IPA guy, but I understand that IPAs don't seem as big outside the area I live in. 4 Pines didn't have any true IPAs on tap that day, but honestly, I always drink IPAs, so it's probably good that I was "forced" to try something different. I enjoyed their flight of beers very much (Pale Ale, American Amber Ale, Hazy Pale Ale, Nitro Stout), though I have to say the PB&J wasn't for me. Fortunately, they gave me a tasting before I committed to this. That said, my brother in law loves their PB&J! I'm not a stout guy, but their stout was delicious, creamy, and smooth. I didn't love their American Amber Ale, but that's okay since everyone likes something different! All in all, a great place to hang out, grab a bite, and enjoy some brew!

Yummy beer and really good fish & chip! On our visit to Manly Beach, we decided to grab a quick bite here. Upon getting off the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly, we made a beeline for this brewery that's across the street from the ferry terminal. The brewery is located on the 2nd floor, with wooden interior, and a balcony overlooking the street and ferry terminal. You order at the bar, and they bring the drinks and food to your table. We came here during happy hour and enjoyed a few of the beers. All the beers we had were good. What we didn't expect, was how good the fish & chips was. Fresh, perfectly fried, we pretty much inhaled it. Even the chips were quite yummy. If you find yourself at Manly thirsty for some beer or food, 4 Pines is a solid choice! Pro-tip: In addition to Happy Hour beer prices (for select beers, just ask), there's also a special each day of the week. Check those out before placing your order!

Loved this brewery! Good food, good beer and they had live music with some very talented musicians. Come early to try to get a seat on the balcony!

I can't like this place enough! Located right across from the ferry, this brewpub has it all. First, they have lovely outdoor spaces - we ended up on the lower level (they call it the Keller) because the upper was packed. Second, they have beer. You can get a sampler, or try one of the dozen or so tap varieties. The Mister tried their award winning Schwartzbier - he said it was really good. Third, if you don't like beer they have a really good wine list for a beer place. A well poured glass of bubbly for $9 is what I'm talking about. If you're hungry, there is food. Staff was really friendly and so were the other patrons. We ended up chatting with folks and staying way longer than we'd intended but it's that kind of spot. And they're dog friendly too! If you like beer and nice people, 4 Pines is a must stop.
