We had an amazing wine dinner here recently. Food, service and ambience were amazing. They are allowing BYO at the moment and the sommelier was very helpful. All the wines were served in the appropriate stemware. Would agree with their one hat status.

We did a “little meze” with the specials menu,
ordering a little bit of everything off there…
The seafood was beyond outstanding.
Summery, outstandingly fresh produce,
with subtle clever spurts of flavors that made our experience truly delightful.
Service was impeccable and as always the atmosphere is vibrant and relaxed.
A great lazy afternoon with impressive food and wonderful company.

Sit back, check out the yachts and views up to the new Art Gallery, Otto's is a true world class restaurant. We had a seafood degustation: starting with a sfoglialine (thin puff pastry) caramelised onions, and smoked anchovy. This is a crisp start to a wonderful lunch. Followed by a wheel of yellowfin tuna, atop a delightful saffron aioli, with pickled mussels. it's a dish that sits light and is strikingly bright and tasty. There's the zucchini flowers with a bug and schnapper mouse with a creamy lemon and dill sauce. The strozzapreti is a twisted pasta with a calamari meaty sauce with black olives.
Then you are served a little halftime orange segment with Aperol jelly, a lovely refresh.
Sitting at the end is a sweet treat that makes you sing or shudder with delight, lemon misu with citrus sorbet and a drizzle of olive oil.
we teamed this with a crisp, dry and floral trebbiano from Veneto, Italy.
It's a pairing that just suits.
thanks to the wonderful waiters who led us through the six courses and offered advice and suggestions.
I did finish with a hot chocolate, which rubbed shoulders with the lemonmisu like a cat purring .
Make Otto's a destination and strap in for a treat. it's more than worth it.

Elegant restaurant expensive but worth to go for a special night, a special occasion. Nice walking after along the wharf while enjoying Sydney’s harbour view. It’s good to go there either the evening for dinner or in the daytime for lunch

Vi hittade en rimlig meny i den övre änden av ”casual dining” prisskalan och valde ankan och fläskkotletten med två sidor att dela. Maten var utsökt men jag tycker det är oförlåtligt att maten i ”professionella” inrättningar serveras ljummen. Jag har full förståelse för att kött måste vila, vilket av naturen innebär att det kommer att svalna, men det är en fullständig brist på uppmärksamhet på detaljer att även servera ljumma tillbehör, och till dessa priser är det oacceptabelt. Under många år har vi varit här och allt du förväntar dig av en prisbelönt restaurang är närvarande. Du återvänder och rekommenderar eftersom maten, service, plats etc. är bekvämt ständigt närvarande och konsekvent. Så det var en stor besvikelse att pengar kom in i ekvationen. Vår räkning var drygt 3000 dollar för nio av oss, livstids vänner möte för vår älskade catchup. En 10 % gratifikation infördes i lagförslaget, vilket inte är ovanligt nuförtiden, men trots Ottos verkställande direktörs påstående är det diskretionärt och påpekas för gästerna, så var inte fallet. Dessutom, när du lämnar efter att ha betalat räkningen, ytterligare $ 350 insisterades på för att boka mer än 8 personer. En stor dag fördärvad av vad som luktar opportunistisk gouging. Kreativa veganska recept men mycket genomsnittlig provsmakning. Knappast några vegetariska icke veganska alternativ Skulle inte gå igen som en vegetarian/vegan familj. Servicen var också mycket genomsnittlig. Nätet tog mycket lång tid att komma.

Jag brukade absolut älska denna plats men vi hade nyligen en mycket dyr och vanlig lunch. Servicen var fruktansvärd. Vi var tvungna att fortsätta att be om våra glas att fyllas även när elnätet kom. En huvudrätt kom ut med förrätt. Servitören hade inte bra engelska - vilket är bra - men han hade en hemsk attityd och aggressiv ton så bara obehagligt. Den pasta huvud jag beställde var superb (på den lilla storleken men jag beställde den mindre storleken). Det kändes som om Otto hade sin dag och vi borde ha gått någon annanstans. Kan inte rättfärdiga dessa priser med den dåliga servicenivån.

Fin utsikt och uteservering vid Ulloomooloo kajen. Vi hade den fasta lunchmenyn och jag tycker att det är för länge ( 6 rätter) och för dyrt ($ 150 ). Värre var att ankan var alldeles underkokt och kursintervallet för långt. De (australienska) vinerna också alldeles för dyra Endast rädda nåd var den trevliga servitören, resten var nonchalent

Kom på middag för att fira en födelsedag. Vi satt vid restaurangens kanske värsta bord: det var bredvid en glasvägg, också bredvid en dörröppning till köket, precis vid kassan och en familj med spädbarn. Det var så ont om plats att benen skavde mot varandra. När jag drog tillbaka stolen gled benet in i ett spår. Jag försökte ringa servitören, som aldrig presenterade sig, över 4 x för att byta bord. Jag pekade artigt på två obesatta bord, men han gav oss ett annat hemskt bord bredvid en vägg och kassan. Allvarligt. Giuseppe, som heller aldrig presenterade sig (såg det namnet på vår räkning) , var vår nya servitör. Vi fick frågan om vi ville ha bröd, vilket vi tyckte var gratis. Nej. 7 dollar för varje skiva vått surdegsbröd. Vi väntade i 15 minuter på menyer. När jag ställde en fråga svarade han med anmärkningsvärd attityd. När jag frågade om portionsstorleken på huvud/förrätt angav han de små/stora portionerna i gram och angav sedan antalet bitar som serverades för den mindre portionen när jag beställde. Jag beställde 2 av nötkött tartar att starta. Ganska bra. Den bräserade wagyubringan med agnolottibräserad nötkött var oinspirerad; och jag skrattade bokstavligen när jag såg storleken på sidan av butternutpumpan - det var denna stora skiva som var större än allt jag redan ätit tillsammans. Det som började som en lovande kväll att både min partner och jag verkligen såg fram emot att fira hans födelsedag var en upplevelse jag mådde dåligt över eftersom han var så besviken över nästan hela måltiden. Det fanns så många gånger flera personer kunde ha förbättrat denna upplevelse, men verkade likgiltig. Det som särskilt störde mig, var att ingen dricks lämnades och du vet att servitören skulle ha sett det omedelbart. Det hade vägt tungt om han bara hade frågat vad som var fel med måltiden. Denna restaurang är bättre lämpad för större grupper, men varje par jag observerade hade ett bättre bord, verkade behandlas bättre och snabbare av servitris.

Otto är en italiensk restaurang som ligger på fingervarvet i Wooloomooloo, vid vattnet i Sydney Harbour. Vi bokade restaurangen i god tid och kom i tid. Vi firade min födelsedag. Vid ankomsten möttes vi av Maitre d' som erkände att det var ett födelsedagstillfälle. Hon fortsatte att placera oss i vad som var helt klart det värsta bordet i restaurangen (i dörröppningen till köket och bredvid kassan). Även om jag erkänner att någon måste ha det sämsta bordet var det inte klart vad vi hade gjort för att förtjäna detta. Det fanns många andra obesatta bord, många med en inställning för 2 personer, ingen med reserverade skyltar. Vi frågade om vi kunde sitta vid ett annat bord och förflyttas till de obebodda närmare vattnet. Servitören gick iväg och konfererade med hovmästaren och så småningom blev vi åter - sittande - på andra sidan kassan, förmodligen det näst sämsta bordet i restaurangen. Vid den här tiden var vi uppgivna inför vårt öde. Vi hade gett våra dryckesbeställningar innan vi blev omplacerade men hade ännu inte erbjudits en meny. Vi väntade. Och väntade. Och väntade, och så småningom - efter kanske 15 minuter fick vi menyer. Jag är förtjust i italiensk mat och äter ofta på italienska restauranger men denna meny krävs google translate för att förstå vad som erbjöds. Vår servitör - som var något kejserlig, sprang igenom specialerbjudanden. I slutet bad jag honom upprepa den första specialen. Han svarade ”som jag sa...”. Detta var slarvigt och onödigt. Vi frågade hur stora portionerna pasta var. Vi fick höra 60 gram. Kanske om du arbetar i ett kök har du en bra känsla för vad 60 gram översätts till, men för oss andra är det svårt att mäta om det är lite eller mycket. Slutligen, efter att ha tagit vår beställning frågade han om vi vill ha bröd. Vi fick inte veta att det skulle kosta & 7 per skiva för vad som slutade med att vara oaptitliga kalla våta surdegsplattor. På den positiva sidan maten var av hög standard (förutom surdegen som jag starkt skulle avråda från). De tog fram en liten tårta med ett ljus i slutet för att fira födelsedagen. Och jag kunde se att andra bord verkade ha roligt. Men det var vi inte. Så, sammanfattningsvis: god mat (mestadels) . Dyrt. Bra läge. Men vi hade inte en trevlig matupplevelse här och kommer inte att gå tillbaka.

Otto erbjöd en kreativ 6-rätters vegansk degustationsupplevelse med bra portionsstorlekar, kompletterande och kontrasterande smaker över rätterna.

Vi deltog i en underbar bröllopslunch på Otto på Woolloomooloo Sydney. Utmärkt 3-rätters måltid. Vi älskade Sydney rock ostron, whisky fileé biff plus tiramisu för öken. Bra vinval med NV Champagne, VIC Chardonnay och italienska Sangiovese. Mycket speciell middag

Jag är italiensk och jag ville ta min bästa vän från San Diego till denna restaurang och det har varit helt enastående. . . Toby var vår servitör och han har varit så beredd och hjälpsam att vi älskade honom! Jag skulle verkligen rekommendera den här platsen till alla som vill ha riktigt italiensk mat med vacker miljö och värmande atmosfär! ! ! Tack Toby! ! !

Deras hus gjorde sur deg med fantastisk Cudgegong Olive Estate-olja var ett utmärkt sätt att komma igång, följt av ett dussin nyskakade Sydney-ostron. Charteris Central Otago NZ Chardonnay var en trevlig partner för priset och förnuftigt prissatt - bara x 2 dess nuvarande detaljhandelspris för vinbutik. Vi besökte OTTO med tillstånd av en presentkort. Beställningar var saffran linguine med moreton bay buggar och cappellacci med marsarpone i en hummerbisque. Hos våra servitörer var det kloka råd vi inkluderade raket, päron och radicchisallad. Rätter kombinerades vackert. Glasögon med italienska pinot grigio var utmärkta. Efterrätter var choklad ganache och en lemoncurd, maräng och citrussorbet. Varje maträtt inklusive kaffe övergick förväntningarna. En minnesvärd måltid kostade $ 208 för 2. Platsmat och service var alla felfria.

Alltid genomgående god mat med fantastiska viner och service. Den här gången hade vi de romerska kryddade smulade räkorskotletterna som en förrätt med hela Humpty Doo babybarramundi och Nya Zeelands linje - fångad rosa snapperfilé som elnät. Gilla alltid att återvända till Otto.

Även utan förbehåll och uppträdande i löpare fick ma tre d 'oss att känna sig välkomna och ledde oss till ett bra bord. Mat var helt topp, vin lite $$$ och slog och missar med vår begäran. Inte motstå, mitt första besök i Otto kommer inte att vara mitt sista.
