I've been coming since it first opened. Thought it was brilliant. But each time I come now there is always something that makes it ... just average. Nice location. I really like the decor. But service and food have declined over past couple of years. I can no longer count on impeccable service and an actual experience. Those little things that took what they had the extra mile. Today my tea is served with a dirty cup, tea with out its little platter and cookie, or even sugar for that matter. With new places opening up close by now is not the time to just be the average in a happening area. I feel for the workers that want this place to be great but are being held back by those who just don't care. Still a good place to sit and enjoy a meal or even people watch.

Dined in Corso Brio with friends. The food was pretty good and the price was good considering the restaurant and environment. The only thing is that there could have been better service, as waiters did not seem as accommodating as I would have thought for the restaurant. We got the Tagliatelle pasta and the Risotto, and the pistachio tiramisu for dessert.

Three words: Sicilian Baked Eggs. If this dish does not blow you away here, I don't know what could. The preparation of it here was absolutely the best I've had. Up to the visit to Bel & Brio, another spot by the name of The Smith held that title in NYC. Yet, the juicy, reasonably light and flavor bursting preparation here made it a truly standout dish. The design is quite impressive as well, deviating for standard industrial tones and adding quirkyness and beauty that separates it from any other restaurant I've been to. Lots of neat vintage objects and shelves, merged with modern smooth wood finishes and machine inspirations. Service was generally fine. Nothing over the top, but things got done. There are plenty of delicious pastries to satisfy the post breakfast cravings. Unfortunately the Napoleon like cake (forget the name in Italian), had crusts that are way too hard and that made it impossible to eat without taking the whole thing apart. It was tasty, but not made properly or thought through. This restaurant serves multiple purposes and that's part of the reason it's special. It's easily a coffee shop, where one could stop by to grab a coffee before heading into the corporate distress of surrounding offices. It's also a spot to eat a very hearty breakfast that is not just a coffee shop's attempt at breakfast. And, for those desiring desserts, it's also a bakery, and does that well also. With three focus areas, one would think it would be too much, but judging by amazing results, it ended up as one the favorites during the visit to Sydney.

DONOTORDERTAKEAWAYPIZZA! Was craving pizza, so ordered two slices of margarita through a take away app. Arrived at pick up counter and realized I made a massive mistake. Pizzas were already sliced and placed in closed containers, sitting under heat lamps. Why would you sauna the hell out of pizza?!?! Bland in taste and texture like soggy tissues.

I worked for this company for two years, they never paid my superannuation and even though I left almost a year ago I'm still struggling to get all the money they owed me from my salary. Never work for this place! They'll rip you off!

The service isn't the greatest here. The restaurant doesn't have a restroom so you need to go down the street if you need to go to the restroom. There is constant up-selling to the point they tell you your meal comes with a side. It in fact, does not. On top of all of that they got our order wrong. We tried to bring that to their attention but the literally ignored us by not answering us when we brought it to their attention

The grocery store has many nice things, and I am grateful they have plain natural yogurt which is hard to find in the city. I also buy pasta meals there when held up at meetings and other places are closed for lunch. However, you shall be aware that some chocolates taste old, in particular while chocolate with whole hazelnuts; they tasted rancid. Other thing to keep in mind, chopped berry bowls might not be fresh and taste like old compote with vinegar. I assume it was previous day batch or something. It is unacceptable for such high price this place is asking. Cafe looks nice outside but staff ruins it. I went there for breakfast at 7:30am. The place was fairly empty but I had to wait to be seated, and then was forgotten and ignored to take order. I raised a hand to get waitress attention, but she kept sitting other people and carrying on other duties. After another 5 mins of waiting I lost hope to get breakfast any soon and left the place. Hope Bel & Brio staff are more respectful to other customers as I had very bitter experience.

Great service and really nice food, the staff are excellent and very attentive!! Massive selection of alcohol pork belly is delish and the attached grocery store is quirky and has awesome stuff

I was cruising around the newly developed Barangaroo area and decided to walk into Bel & Brio. First let me start with this place doesn't know it's own identity is it a restaurant or grocery store? Anyway I decided to try a coffee and cannoli at the restaurant part both which were mediocre there is much better coffee in the area. I got the bill and I was shocked $9.50 for the cannoli on the window where it was showcased the price wasn't in front and even the coffee was above average at $4.50 for a small. After having my breakfast I checked the grocery store part out and while they have nice stuff it's all insanely expensive and it's not in a residential area so it just makes zero sense. Overall Bel & Brio might look nice inside in out but at its core it's mediocre & confused about its identity.
