Now, this is one of those pubs that I could spend quite a lot of time at if I happened to live in the area that is. I guess the porch really did it for me - one of those newer pubs that deliberately created a porch where patrons could sit at with a beer in hand and either chat, or read a book if they are like me. The other thing is that they also had a decent selection of beers on tap, and that is always going to win me over.

Wow, how did I not know about this before? Oh right, because it's in Arncliffe! Came here with my hockey team after a game because it's close to the turf. I was blown away by the size of the venue - massive, cozy, different styles of seating including round booths perfect for larger groups, fireplace, 2 kitchens (one for wood-fired food such as burgers and pizza and roast chicken and one normal kitchen). Could fit couple hundred of people?! Also impressive was the food. Crispy buffalo wings made with Frank's hot sauce (super legit!), massive chicken parmis smothered in melted cheese, great burgers. I got the 1/2 Portuguese chicken with peri peri sauce... DELICIOUS! Plus, the prices were definitely lower than Sydney prices but I guess it's more in the suburbs. For dessert I ordered the sticky date pudding. It wasn't the best, but the vanilla ice cream made up for that :) We'll be back! Looking forward to eating my way through the menu.

After not visiting this Hotel for a few years ..... I was pleasantly surprised to see it had maintained its feel and high standards with food quality & presentation. It looked pretty much the same which is good because it was in great shape then. I enjoyed the vast selection of drinks to choose from as well as the choice of so many places to grab a table. Parking was nearby and easy with Banksia train station right next door as an option for those who want to have a big night. It's main bar looks like it's been upgraded..... smaller bar ..... but larger ..... more dining options. This Hotel is great for all, especially families ...... it excels with its exciting menu ...... I enjoyed my Streak ....... it was awesome ...... just too big.

Rocksia in Arncliff is a posh place for bar food and drinks. It later turns into more of a night club atmosphere which I'm not sure is so family friendly, but for dinner its just fine. This is a counter order and pick up kind of joint so don't expect full service. In fact I would say the service in all is pretty mediocre. We experienced rude wait staff and was miss- rung up for our bill. However, to Rocksia's credit the manager did come over to offer a free drink to my BF's Aunt which helped to ease the hard feelings. The EATS...HUGE portions. I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel and chips and had enough to take home for lunch the next day. Another plus is that Rocksia does promotions like saving your receipt vouchers for the next time you come, 2 for 1 meals. All in all a pretty decent joint and good value.

Last time I ordered food at the Rocksia I awarded 3 stars however I have since been back and have given 5 stars. We went on a Tuesday night - we did not book expecting it to be quiet, we were very wrong the bistro was near enough full with lots of tables reserved, we had 9 people that needed to be fed (always a nightmare for any place) we did get a table thankfully. The food arrived and it was lovely everyone in our party enjoyed the meal, I am a Seaford addict so I always look to order from this section, I had been disappointed with their seafood basket in the past so I ordered Spaghetti Marinara priced $20 - it was excellent value. I jumped to 5 stars simply because all nine were fed and happy and given we didn't book I am amazed how quickly we were served and the food all came out together. Tip: I would recommend booking and ask for outdoor if the weather is nice.

Had the chorizo spaghetti. It was very good, however slightly oily for my liking. The onion rings were delicious and tasted very fresh but also the portion size could be a little larger. Overall it was quite amazing for the price. The pizzas they sell is probably hands one of the best pizzas I've ever had around Sydney. The main thing I'd want to change would probably be the member/non-member pricing.

Had a great meal with partner and friends at this place. I found everything reasonably priced and delicious. They have a woodfired oven too! Had the best Magharita pizza in a long time without the crust collapsing on me. I recommend the zucchini flowers & ribs on mash. Upon reading the other reviews, I expected bad service, but honestly, the waitstaff were very attentive throughout. Maybe they took on board some of the criticism?

First and foremost- $6 cocktails between 8 and 10pm on Saturday nights. A good selection of cocktails too. The Rocksia offers decent and cheap pub food along with a big dining area that sprawls to large booths outside. An inside area with open fires, DJs, more booths and a dance floor - located dangerously close to the cocktail bar. And finally a decent sports bar, that sometimes has live music and lots of pool tables. All in all pretty good for a Saturday night- or as a pit stop to the city........ BUT The service is absolutely disgusting- perhaps on purpose to discouraging people from going overboard with the cocktails. But really just awful- painfully slow, rude and just lazy.

Clean atmosphere and quiet friendly staff, night time service leaves much to be desired, more lighting and get rid of the junky type ppl and leave a family vibe would be much better for your long term
