Great if you don't actually want to be in the room. We had a king room, but it didn't look too much like the photos we saw when booking it (I was with my partner). The room was basically all bed, very cramped. It had a mini-fridge, kettle, floor-length mirror, TV and some little lamps. It didn't get too much light, and I suppose due to safety the window wouldn't open too far, but was also behind the TV, so it was hard to get a nice breeze. The air con was nice, but very confusing to use at first. And, because of the photos, I expected that we'd get a desk, but we had nothing.

The bathroom was nice, but the water pressure was horrible, very soft. I also thought it was pretty weird that the toiletries were travel-sized, so we went through quite a few tiny bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Other hotels tend to stock big, refillable bottles.

Honestly, this is a good stay due to the location, but beware that there is no room service and the room may be cramped. The staff are nice, but we didn't interact with them too much - check in and out were both fast, which was good.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times, drawn by its unbeatable location and stunning design. The hotel is aesthetically beautiful, blending modern comfort with chic decor, creating a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. It’s situated in a prime location, offering easy access to all of Melbourne’s vibrant culture, renowned dining spots, and entertainment, making it ideal for anyone wanting to explore the city.

The comfort of the rooms has also been a highlight in the past, with the beds generally being amazing plush, cozy, and perfect for a restful night’s sleep. However, our most recent visit left us incredibly disappointed. Despite the hotel’s potential and history of providing a comfortable stay, the cleanliness has gone from bad to worse, and it’s hard to believe that management has allowed it to fall into such a state.

The bathroom in our room was appalling, with mold-covered silicone and grout and a foul odor. The exhaust fan was covered with lint and appeared to be harbouring mold, failing to do its job and contributing to the damp, unpleasant smell. This was shocking considering how luxurious the space is in terms of design. The soiled mattress was another major letdown. While the beds are usually a high point, a closer inspection revealed stains that shouldn’t be overlooked in any accommodation, let alone one with such a reputation.

Sadly, these cleanliness issues extend beyond just the room. The common areas, including the lifts and hallways, were neglected, with smudges, dirt, and sticky floors in places where you’d expect cleanliness to be a priority. The general neglect of these spaces makes it clear that there’s little regard for the basic maintenance required to keep the hotel at the level of quality it once had.

For a hotel that has so much going for it such as the beautiful design, great location, and comfort the severe lack of cleanliness is utterly unacceptable. I’m truly at a loss as to how this place has let such basic hygiene slip through the cracks. Given the convenience and charm this hotel could offer, I truly hope management addresses these cleanliness concerns. Until then, I’m hesitant to recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and hygienic stay in Melbourne.

This is a fantastic location, and it was a perfectly accessible place to get us anywhere in Melbourne we wanted.

They use this fact to allow everything else to be lackluster. Besides the friendly staffing, we struggled to get comfortable in their rooms. The air conditioner would shut off after 20 minutes of running, so even after a few attempts with talking to the staff, we were never able to get the temperature below 25C. Once the weather changed, the outside weather was cooler than indoors and we had to leave the window open to move the temperature down.

We were pretty careful to keep the sheets just right, because the comforter and sheets were pretty disgusting. You can look at a few other reviews to see how bad it gets.

Water pressure seemed to be a spotty problem where you could lose hot water and the pipes would squeal pretty loudly to give a friendly reminder to the guests to conserve water.

Excellent stay at this hotel. Great area with lots of cool restaurants and cafes nearby. Room with small balcony was spacious, clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Had the best sleep! Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Brady Hotel on Jones Lane and had a mostly positive experience. The hotel has a modern design, and check-in was smooth and efficient. One of the standout features is its fantastic location; it's just a short walk from a variety of cafes and shops, making it incredibly convenient for dining and retail therapy.

However, one downside was that the rooms were a bit dusty, which detracted from the overall experience. Despite this, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Brady Hotel for its great location and contemporary vibe.
