Walkable from the town centre or train station - flat straight road out. Also a bus runs there regularly.

Great centre with a lot of climbing options. Outdoor bouldering was a highlight for me.

Grading was on the more difficult side, and almost all bouldering is set with more natural feature holds rather than conventional indoor climbing holds. Depends on what you like there, for me it would be nicer to see a mix of both.

Changing facilities are very good, staff very helpful. Really enjoyed my time here.

I want to return to Innsbruck again because of this amazing climbing gym. It’s a modern, spacious gym with excellent climbing zones, a bouldering area, a cozy café, and clean changing areas – it’s a 10 out of 10.

This December, my daughter and I had an amazing time at the Innsbruck Kletterzentrum! The facility is spacious, modern, and exceptionally well-maintained, making it ideal for climbers of all skill levels.

What really impressed us was the autobelay system. It offered a strong sense of safety and allowed us to climb at our own pace, without needing a partner to manage the belaying. We were amazed by the variety of routes on the autobelay walls.
We can’t wait to go back!

I visited this gym with my partner in August 2024, we climbed here several grades 5c-8a. To sum it up...not the worst gym we've been to as there were some quite positive points as well, but we expected much more from the place of such reputation.
AND... we won't come back due to cons - see below.

Pros:

- wide selection of routes, also with the highest grades and outdoor zone,
- interesting safe floor (personally - not tested though :)),
- well developed general infrastructure and surroundings.

Cons:

- very, very dirty, slippery steps and holds - I would like to know that before I came here, because it made the climbing a lot more difficult (and -100 to fun). Please wash them :(

- routes were...well, "not great, not terrible", but definitely not exciting,

- extremely old routes - this actually didn't bother me this time, as it was my first time anyway, but really - so many routes from November/December 2023? :D If I lived here permanently, I would be very sad, seeing the same routes again and again for months,

- I was quite surprised that such big and known gym doesn't have a free parking.
