It's called The Roadhouse and a must visit on your travels. The cafe is visible from the main road and has one of the best views of the lake.
Large and free car park, beautiful views, well priced food and drink - we came here at least 3/4 times whilst staying nearby.
It's a quick 5min drive to Hallstatt but you won't be charged €5 for a small coffee. I believe its a family run business and the service was superb. The staff spoke good English which is a bonus.
There are a number of tables adjacent the cafe shop, where you can watch the lake and enjoy a cold drink at the same time.
It looked like a popular place for bikers, there were motorbikes everytime we passed by.
Definitely worth a visit if nearby!

A really stunning place on the lake. When you visit Hallstatt view place by bus, don’t change bus 542 to 543 immediately before dropping here. Just stop and take your time, and you will know the true pleasure of your journey.

Nice Cafe and Restaurant, were you can rest your trip and enjoy the view with a nice meal or coffee, there is a public WC close to it.

Although the view was fantastic, we didn't eat here. Everything was in german and the Lady there don't speak English. I didn't understand anything. I know that we are on Áustria and that the mais language is german, but in a big turistic place like this, is not normal don't have at least the menu in English.
