We were supposedly given a room upgrade but it was a dark room looking out onto a utilitarian inner courtyard.
While staff was very nice they are limited in knowledge for tourists. We were finally able to get useful info from tourist office in town and an excellent walking tour. Hotel was only able to give us vague advice on standard commercial tours. Advice on which sites to see were poor.
Location of hotel was 15-19 minutes walking to center and outskirts of main sightseeing.

A Must-Try Experience in Vienna!

I had an amazing time at the Spice Spoons Apple Strudel Workshop at Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional – warm, welcoming, and so well-organized.

Chef Pierre Zani made the whole process fun and easy to follow, sharing great tips and interesting facts about traditional Viennese pastries. The best part? Making and enjoying the most delicious apple strudel with homemade vanilla sauce – hands down, the best I’ve ever had!

Everything about the experience was just perfect – the setting, the service, and the little details that made it special. If you're visiting Vienna and love food, this workshop is a must!

This hotel is beautiful, and the service was exceptional. The rooms were gorgeous with the high ceilings. The water pressure was strong in the shower, and the beds were comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised with how big the rooms were, especially because we are in Vienna.

I wish I had more time to write a more detailed review, but I will say this is the hotel I will be staying at next time I am in Vienna.

Just a note, but we had to leave at 6:40 AM to catch a train, and since breakfast doesn’t open till 7 AM, the staff will kind enough to pack a breakfast for my friend so she could eat on the way. This is just an example of the little things that they did throughout our day to give exceptional service. I highly recommend this place if you are coming to Vienna :-)

This hotel tops all 5 stars hotels . From arrival to departure could not fault it  The  friendly and welcoming staff and  Service , the quality and presentation of the food  , amenities including the state of the art SPA . The bedrooms are beautiful and the quality of the bedding gave us a home from home deluxe and restful sleep. Special thanks to Lindsey and Yanna @the breakfast room and the ever smiling helpful Sophia @Reception who made our stay 10/10 stars 🌟. This is a true , honest review and anyone wishing to experience the same we did , do not hesitate to give it a try …..

Quite late review seeing my stay was in early December but I had to come back for it. As a titanium member of GHA Discovery I have high expectations from places like this and they were all fulfilled. Spacious rooms a very nice spa and friendly staff is all you need for a great stay!
