We had a lovely visit to the cathedral. You are able to stop by and visit much of the place for free, but it is worth it to stop and take the tour. Climbing at least one of the towers is absolutely worth it. The catacomb tour was also good, although brief. We had an amazing tour guide who maintained a good balance of humor and respect for the space.

You really shouldn't miss this place when visiting Vienna.  It's absolutely huge and jaw-droppingly beautiful! Every inch of it is covered with intricate carvings or paintings, and the acoustics are phenomenal - a real treat for the senses!

It's a wow, from the first view as you approach the square to the most breathtaking incredible interior. We visited a few times but went inside one early evening, the lighting was perfect. Quite dark and mysterious and beautiful. It does get very busy not only with tourists but with people using the church, it all adds to the atmosphere.
The church is lit at night and changes colour slowly. Such a beautiful place to visit, definitely go inside!
