Delicious stuff, traditional Austrian cuisine, wonderful draft beer, very good and fast service, nice atmosphere! Try the soups, also goulash or schnitzel! It is mandatory to have a reservation, especially in the cold months when there are no tables outside. We paid in cash. I highly recommend it if you want to feel the atmosphere of small family local restaurants in Vienna, offering delicious traditional recipes!

Worth a try of the traditional Schnitzel and Apple Strudel. We also tried the lamb, which was  enjoyable. Great atmosphere and friendly service. The restaurant at time of visit was cash only (with an ATM located just outside).

A really pleasant restaurant, with large portions. It gets very busy so worth the reservation.

No booking, 1hr meal time only starting from 5pm.

The today special - the crispy roasted duck is impressive. Very crispy skin and soft duck meat.

The restaurant is quite full of reservation. Suggest to make a reservation for dining.

During my three-day tour in Vienna, I discovered a charming family restaurant located just a few minutes' walk from Karlskirche. As you can see from the photo, the surroundings are picturesque, adding to the restaurant's appeal.

Their food is not only delicious but also generously portioned. The Wiener Schnitzel is exceptional, with a crispy coating and juicy interior. The soup with veal liver dumplings features a particularly flavorful broth.

The prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality and quantity of food offered. However, there are a few things to keep in mind. The restaurant is open only on weekdays. The first seating is often fully booked, so it's essential to make a reservation by phone or visit a day in advance. There is no air conditioning inside, so outdoor seating might be preferable on hot days. And, they only accept cash.

Overall, this restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with excellent food and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Vienna!

My friend and I recently decided to stop by Wiener Wiazhaus for a quick beer after dinner. To our surprise, we were informed by the staff that the establishment operates as a full restaurant and that ordering drinks alone wasn't permitted. While a few tables around us seemed to be enjoying drinks without food, we felt like we were on the receiving end of a different policy—perhaps a tourist-related bias?

Reluctantly, we ordered french fries and pancakes to comply with the rules. The pancakes were a delightful surprise—fluffy and flavorful, they hit the spot perfectly. However, the french fries left much to be desired. They arrived unseasoned and without any sauces, which felt quite disappointing.

When we inquired about dipping sauces, we requested ketchup. The staff didn’t mention that there would be an additional charge, and even asked if we wanted additional sauces. To our dismay, we discovered a €1.50 fee for the ketchup when the bill arrived. It felt somewhat off-putting, reinforcing the impression that tourists might not be fully welcomed here.

In summary, while the pancakes were a highlight, the overall experience was marred by a lack of attention to detail and a sense of unfriendliness toward tourists. If you’re a traveler, you might want to think twice before visiting Wiener Wiazhaus.
