The "Esszimmer" by Alexander Kumptner really does have the ambience that the name suggests. A service that competently explains and serves all courses in detail completes the cosy setting.
The menu was a culinary poem that fitted in well with the time of year and even turned traditional contributions into international explosions of flavour.

Essen: Überragend! Die Gerichte sind facettenreich und einfach lecker – auf einem unglaublich hohen Niveau. Jede Kreation ist ein wahrer Genuss für die Sinne. Sowohl das Menü mit Fisch und Fleisch, als auch das vegetarische Menü.

Ambiente: Stilsicher und gemütlich. Das Restaurant ist klein, aber fein, und bietet Platz für 12 Personen. Die intime Atmosphäre und die Einrichtung macht das Essen noch besonderer.

Service: Thomas war einfach hervorragend! Aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und dabei noch sehr sympathisch. Ein wirklich gelungener Service.

Alles in allem: 10/10! Wir haben den Abend sehr genossen und kommen definitiv gerne wieder.

Food: Outstanding! The dishes are diverse and simply delicious – at an incredibly high level. Each creation is a true delight for the senses. Both the fish and meat menu and the vegetarian menu.

Ambiance: stylish and cozy. The restaurant is small but nice and can accommodate 12 people. The intimate atmosphere and decor make the meal even more special.

Service: Thomas was simply outstanding! Attentive, courteous and also very personable. A really successful service.

All in all: 10/10! We really enjoyed the evening and would definitely like to come back.

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Abend zu zweit im Esszimmer. Zuvor hatten wir schon einen Drink im
everybodys darling direkt nebenan.
Wünsche und kleine Änderungen wurden sofort erfüllt. Die Weinbegleitung war traumhaft und zu den einzelnen Gängen genau passend, jeder Tropfen einzigartig.
Wir hatten einmal das Fleisch Menü und einmal das vegetarische, was uns absolut abgeholt hat. Unser absolutes Highlight war der vegetarische Hauptgang und das Dessert.
Das ganze Team zuvorkommend und entspannt.
Vielen Dank für den tollen und besonderen Abend.

We had a fantastic evening for two in the dining room. We already had a drink beforehand
everybodys darling right next door.
Wishes and small changes were fulfilled immediately. The wine accompaniment was fantastic and matched the individual courses perfectly, every drop was unique.
We had the meat menu once and the vegetarian one, which absolutely picked us up. Our absolute highlight was the vegetarian main course and the dessert.
The whole team is courteous and relaxed.

Wir hatten das Vergnügen, in der Vorweihnachtszeit das Esszimmer von Alexander Kumpner in Wien zu besuchen – und es war ein absolutes Highlight. Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants spürte man die besondere Atmosphäre: Mit nur fünf bis sieben Tischen bietet das Esszimmer eine exklusive und gemütliche Umgebung, die durch eine stilvolle Einrichtung und ein durchdachtes Design abgerundet wird.

Der Service war von Beginn an herzlich, professionell und aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Man fühlte sich sofort willkommen und bestens betreut.

Die Speisekarte war hervorragend zusammengestellt, mit einer gelungenen Mischung aus internationaler und asiatischer Küche. Jeder Gang war von vorne bis hinten perfekt abgestimmt – geschmacklich sowie optisch ein echtes Erlebnis. Besonders beeindruckend war die dazu passende Weinbegleitung, die jeden Gang noch einmal auf ein neues Niveau hob.

Wir können das Esszimmer von Alexander Kumpner aus tiefstem Herzen empfehlen und sind überzeugt, dass dieses Restaurant eine Michelin-Sterne-Auszeichnung verdient. Es war eines der besten Restaurants, die wir je besucht haben, und wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

We had the pleasure of visiting Alexander Kumpner's dining room in Vienna in the run-up to Christmas - and it was an absolute highlight. As soon as you entered the restaurant you could feel the special atmosphere: with only five to seven tables, the dining room offers an exclusive and cozy environment, which is rounded off by stylish furnishings and a well-thought-out design.

From the start, the service was warm, professional and attentive without being intrusive. You immediately felt welcome and well looked after.

The menu was excellently put together, with a successful mix of international and Asian cuisine. Every course was perfectly coordinated from start to finish - a real experience both in terms of taste and appearance. The matching wine accompaniment was particularly impressive, raising each course to a new level.

We can recommend Alexander Kumpner's dining room from the bottom of our hearts and are convinced that this restaurant deserves a Michelin star award. It was one of the best restaurants we have ever visited and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Von A-Z ein toller Abend. Super netter Kellner, sehr schönes und angenehmes Ambiente. Das Essen war einmalig gut und ich würde es jeden empfehlen. Ich werde aufjedenfall wieder kommen. Der Preis für das Menü ist aufjedenfall gerechtfertigt. Die Kirsche auf der Sahnetorte war, dass der Alex selber vor Ort war.

A great evening from A-Z. Super nice waiter, very nice and pleasant atmosphere. The food was incredibly good and I would recommend it to everyone. I will definitely come back. The price for the menu is definitely justified. The cherry on the cake was that Alex himself was there.
