Proper Austrian food. The bone marrow was to die for. I didn't dare try the offal dishes but those are what this restaurant is know for. The beef goulash was delish. Great selection of wine. Staff nicer than elsewhere, still not the warmest of service.

We had a very nice experience visiting Vienna with my girlfriend. Someone at the hotel recommended this restaurant, and although we didn’t have a reservation, we were lucky to get a table next to the main door. The meal was excellent; we chose duck and schnitzel, both of which were very well-cooked. We drank beer, and for dessert, we enjoyed apple strudel. As we were leaving, one of the managers offered us a couple of very strong drinks to apologize for seating us next to the door during the fall season, as it was a bit chilly. If you are visiting Vienna, this restaurant is a must. Traditional, good food and excellent service.

The Wiener Schnitzel is perfectly cooked and served hot, while the roast goose is a seasonal favorite in winter. I also tried the Viennese liver dumpling soup (Leberknödelsuppe) for the first time and loved it—comforting and smooth in texture, with no trace of the usual organ meat taste.

I've visited this restaurant twice without a reservation, and both times, the staff went out of their way to find us a table, which was greatly appreciated. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, and the food is absolutely delicious. One interesting detail is that the servers in the basement actively ask for tips, while those on the ground floor do not. Despite that, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I'd definitely recommend it for both the service and the great food!
