I'd been wanting to try Kwint because of its wonderful location. I was there on a day with lovely weather, and the view was fantastic. The restaurant itself was beautiful as well, kind of an upscale business-type atmosphere. The service was decent. Unfortunately, the food was just horrendous. We had their set business lunch menu. The appetizer was a soup so bland I could not identify what vegetable it was. I had to add copious amounts of salt, and even then, I couldn't finish my small portion. Our main course was an extremely chewy meat that I could not identify until my dining companion informed me it was beef. It was almost impossible to cut with the provided knife, and I had to chew every bite about 50 times. I know this is true, because it was so ridiculously chewy that I started counting the bites. I ate less than half of my steak. Even though everything up to that point was terrible, we still decided to get dessert, a chocolate tart with ice cream. The tart wasn't very good and looked like it came from a supermarket. The only good part of the meal was the glass of wine I had. I would come back for drinks, but never again for food.

Fantastic French bistro style food in Brussels. The amazing duck confit has a smoked flavor to it and the skin actually melts in your mouth. The land appetizer was a sampling of foie gras in lettuce, tartare (perfectly chopped instead of ground), and a gazpacho with crawfish. Not sure on the pairing of the trio but each was very good on its own. My companion had the smoked duck salad and the shrimp risotto. The salad was excellent and the only knock was the risotto was a bit overcooked and needed some more flavor. Finished off with Belgian chocolate moose which also was very good. Combine the food with a very cool decor and a sunset view over the old town part of Brussels and you end up with a great evening. The place was surprisingly empty but seems like a lot of places are quiet or closed the first week in August. Made for pleasantly quiet night. Would definitely go back again.

We've been regulars to Kwint for over two years now. After what looks like a change in management and out latest visit last saturday we probably won't go back anymore which is a pity. Kwint was famous in Brussels for their truffels based menu and their stylish bar with view on the Grande Place. Under the new management the view hasn't changed of course, but the menu did and if you're a truffel lover you'll have to find another harbour now. Only a few items remained and even the olive oil on the table is not truffel infused anymore. But what really makes us change was our last visit. We took a Côte à l'Os which is one of the specialties of the restaurant. After 1 hour waiting for our dish I kindly made eye contact with our server to find out what was going on and she told me very nicely that this dish takes a lot of time to prepare. After 75 minutes they served us at least a small appetizer and after 90 minutes finally our dish was ready. No dish takes 90 minutes and if it does it should say so on the menu or the waiter should advise to take something else if you're not up wait for such a long time. Personnally I feel plain stupid sitiing with my husband in front of an empty table while everybody else eats (during 90 minutes!). They seem really to have an organisatonal problem as we could see that many people were waiting, empty dishes were not cleared and even coffee orders took a long time. This said and to give credit what we received after 90 minutes was excellent, the meat was perfectly cooked. So if you don't mind to wait, the Kwint might still be your choice. As we love truffels and don't want to wait for hours, we very likely won't go back!

Here on business...great selection of French food. I opted for the sea bass and it was prepared perfectly. My colleagues rated all the food above average. They had the duck, steak, , salad (nobody likes this person.. jk), and scallops carpaccio. The decor is deliberate and there is a lot of natural sunlight that lights up this place. You could even argue too much sunlight since we all were wearing sunglasses during our meal. Indulge and finish your meal with the chocolate mousse, quite divine. Bathroom Rating 5/5- it's very dark and it's a bit tricky to turn on the sensor to wash your hands (am I in a club or a restaurant?).

Nice spot mainly because of the view. You can sit down order a drink, but expect it to get to you too quickly... As the motto of the place states "slow food philosophy", and they clearly stick to it. :)

View is great, everything else is blah. We got the Caesar salad and the waffle which were both not memorable. The chicken in the salad was dry and the waffle was a bit cold when it made it to us. The worst was probably the service. We were there during lunch service so understandably they were busy, but even after it had died down and there were only 6 tables and three waiters, no one got any service. Every table I saw that sat down, after waiting 5 mins, would get up to get their own menu. Come for a drink and a view but don't stay for anything else.

Lovely terrace and view. Awful service and hit-or-miss food. This place could be great if they got their act together. Until then, don't go here to eat. Just for an apero on a sunny day.

A lovely location, outstanding view and great design but you will wait for hours for food that is admittedly good (at least my tuna carpaccio and main course of veal was good - not great mind you but good) but far overpriced. Many restaurants in Brussels are slow but it is because they pace the meal this way. You have time to chat and enjoy. But in Kwint it seems they are always trying desperately to catch up and it makes the experience uncomfortable.

We had our team meeting there: very bad service, not enough meals and they didn't served all the same wine over the time. I try to get a cocktail, just I saw my colleagues drinking some, but the waitress told me: bar was closed to whatever reason and although some colleagues were able to get some I didn't got none. Waiting time during the meal was too long and they didn't even served enough bread on our table .. So at least this was my very personal experience, maybe they were completely overwhelmed with too many people .. Anyhow I was very disappointed ..

NO.NO.NO! NO! NO! Do not go here. You have been warned! A year ago I visited this establishment with my girlfriend. It was new years eve and we were (not-so) fortunate as to land a table here. We reserved for 10:00 p.m. and got here a few minutes before 10. Once we arrived we were told that the table was not ready so we were sent to a "waiting area" in the back where we could order a drink. Now this waiting area was the first warning sign for us. It was super crowded and the whole 30 minutes we were sitting there no one came to take our order. Lucky for us we met a nice group of local people who offered us a glass of their champagne. After half an hour we were seated in what felt like a cattle holder because thats how close we were to all the other tables around us. NO space whatsoever. We ordered a drink and 10 minutes later it came. We of course IMMEDIATELY took the opportunity to order dinner considering the long amounts of time we had had to previously wait. As a starter I chose the oysters and my partner chose the foie gras. Please remember that these are BOTH cold dishes. I do not even remember what i ordered as a main. 15 minutes pass... nothing. The waiter said that it was busy and that the kitchen was very busy. 30 minutes pass... still nothing. The waiter, when asked, showed me his had which showed some mumbo jumbo of all the other tables waiting for their food. 45 minutes pass... 12 o'clock hits. Fireworks, and it is now 2015, but still NO food. Shortly after 12:00 i call the waiter again and he proceeds to give me three kisses (as a celebration of the new year) but no update on the food. When we were getting ready to leave the starters FINALLY came even though our hunger had passed. Nonetheless we ate them and we cancelled the main and left. The entire thing cost us 55 euros in total. For two drinks and two "starters". The next day, we experienced the lack of quality of the food. Terrible.
