Brasserie de la Patinoire Menu Overview in Brussels Belgium 1000 Chem du Gymnase 1A 1A Chem du Gymnase Bruxelles Bruxelles Bruxelles BE 1000 9F26R96C+XF R96C+XF Brussels Belgium restaurant food point_of_interest establishment dineIn true Great location just by the children playground located in a bois Very ideal reataurant for families with children Food is good and the service is nice Had tuna with risotto and fish soup which i cant recommend enough Location of the restaurant is very nice It is inside the park surrounded by trees with fresh air inside of the city Food quality and taste also very nice Prices are a little big above the average if i compare with similar type of restaurants Stuff is friendly Especially recommended when there is sunny weather in brussels The staff at this establishment exhibits an appalling level of rudeness bordering on outright contempt for their patrons We endured an unreasonably long wait to be seated during which every member of the staff who passed by us at the entrance willfully ignored even the most basic courtesy a simple bonjour While I acknowledge that the brasserie was bustling and the team under pressure responding to a greeting is not a matter of convenience but of fundamental civility The atmosphere here is oppressively unwelcoming suffused with a palpable sense of disdain Frankly this place is best avoided unless you enjoy being treated as an inconvenience rather than a guest I would love to give this place a higher rating and the only thing that makes it a 2 rather than a 1 is the location It is located in the middle of the park next to a playground making it a great setting and family friendly However the service is terrible My family was coming into town all adults and I booked here We walked in and usually I find if I am speaking French I get nicer treatment in Brussels Well that didn't help here I asked the first person server if we could sit outside even though I reserved for inside To which the man replied no problem as they were not full He did not relay this to the host however as the host then arrived and showed me to a table for 4 When I said we were 5 he said no and walked away leaving me and my family standing there without enough seats I was pretty embarrassed as for all the places in Brussels I picked this as a representation for my visiting family He came back and insisted I booked for 4 I pulled up the reservation on my phone for 5 at which point he became slightly nicer realising his mistake and that I had booked for inside but they could still seat us outside For the rest of the meal we had to ask for things 3-4 times before they arrived often late my husbands beer showed up at the end of the meal with the check when we ordered it at the start For a 400 EUR bill I would at least expect politer service If you like the woods then you will love this place which is nestled in the bois de la cambre but just a few minutes from the parking lots and public transport stops The place is welcoming spacious warm Internal rooms and a wonderful outdoor area the service is perfect thanks to the boys and girls of the staff Menu rich in meat and fish The oysters and mussels stand out I tasted the special of the day very good A special point original espresso
