Really great service. The team was knowledgeable but also knew when a joke was appropriate. We had a lot of fun. The dishes were interesting and fairly unique. It’s a restaurant for real foodies, maybe not ideal if it’s your first time dining at a Michelin started place.

We travel really much and this is one of the best restaurants we know. We come extra from Germany to experience Simon van Dun‘s Creations! Highly recommended because the team of the restaurant know how to let you experience top Michelin Star Cuisine with casual elegance.

Our visit to DIM was truly phenomenal.
We went for the 9-course tasting menu with sake pairing.

The service is attentive without being intrusive, they show genuine enthusiasm about the menu and offer an interesting context to go with the food and wine they present. Special mention for Jonas, the sake master, who really sold each Sake pairing fantastically.

All amuse-bouches (3) and tasting dishes (9) were beautifully presented and had unique flavors and pairings, heavily leaning on Japanese cuisine.
The sake pairing is something we aren't used to, but would absolutely recommend going for. All sakes were perfectly paired with the dishes - some of them were real gems. Since we're not big drinkers, we opted for sharing the pairing, which was perfect for us.

All in all, this is easily one of the best dining experiences we've had. We will be back!

Incredible experience, very warmly received by the host! Wonderful food, good service, everything was perfect! The Japanese Single Malt Whisky was excellent! We will definitely come back again!

Some plates were indulging that you would like to go for another one and that was the lamb dish... it was out of this world 😊 and some were ok.

The amount of sake/alcohol that comes with the dishes... that's need to be overlooked.
I ended up quite more than tipsy with a disturbed stomach and the next day I had to catch a flight which was quite challenging.
So please, reconsider to not go on an empty stomach to this place.

About the atmosphere... the smell of the sewage in a Michelen star restaurant, that's a NO GO for me. Its absurd!
I couldnt digest my food in that stink. It was so unpleasant, that destroyed my appetite.

Apart that, I had a hair on my food... they just changed the plate and brought the exact piece back to me which I ofcourse didnt touch it.

The art on a plate was what did it for me. The plating is phenomenal,  that's a compliment.
Will I ever return there... no, never.
