The food was good, but not 'wow' great. We still enjoyed it. But  I was surprised it had a Michelin star. The atmosphere is lovely. The building and the history are amazing. Overall, a positive experience.

the service was nice, but slow (considering the place was not full) and not very customer-focused (e.g. empty bottle of beer left for the whole duration of the meal, I requested espresso and I got a long coffee). I took the menu (50 euro without drink) with appetizer, soup and first course; instead of dessert I took a coffee. the croquet was good and tasty, also the pumpkin soup was good and tasty. the problem was the main course, grilled pork with french fries; the fries were not up to par for Belgium, pork was completely raw and inedible (I hope I didn't get some disease considering I tried to eat some anyway). the owner apologized and reduced the price of the bill (55 to 35 including price for 1 beer) however I personally think that this should not happen in a Michelin recommended restaurant.

The place has really nice location and better interior, is well maintained and tables are prepared as in proper restorant where you will pay extra but apart from the nice ambient will also have really good meal. Personal was very friendly and competent, spoke nice English and was forthcoming. Pleasant experience. I have ordered pumpkin soup and roasted eel. Soup was not bad, but it was not thick enough and tasted like ones you get from the supermarket. Also eel was soaked in butter so was not really roasted but more cooked. Eel, the meet, was ok and everything but was not prepared as it was supposed to be. Also dressing is bit needy and French fries, well that is something that should not be difficult to prepare decent one would think at least. My suggestion stay with the stake or similar dish and you can't go wrong. Beer is excellent btw, have already tried 4 new ones and all were like a good song!!!

The service was bad. The staff (girl) who serv a food was very rude. Franch frys was to grease. Fish was nice. The quality is under asked price.
