The bridge was much smaller than I imagined it evey time I heard from its big historical background in my history lessons - but therefore the bridge has not to bear the blame, it's fully my imagination's fault. The most important thing: I made it to this place finally, whatever its size is.

Sarajevo is a small city. You can see a lot in one day. This is the bridge where Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated by Gavrilo Princip, which became the reason for the start of World War I. Sarajevo has delicious food. It is a very cheap city, there is a tram. The Genocide Museum is interesting, which is about the genocide during the civil war that took place in 1992-1995.

The bridge itself is really just a bridge. Historical significance makes it worth the visit, as does the surrounding city and old town. The river underneath doesn’t look great either. 4* would be lower if Sarajevo overall didn’t completely win me over.
