The Rila hotel is very modern, comfortable and warm. The waiters and staff were extremely professional and friendly. The room and shower is very nice and well appointed with plenty space for 2. The ski rental employees were very helpful too and it’s a good system they have down there. However, I wouldn’t return nor would I recommend to couples/groups
without kids. Even though it wasn’t a school holiday when we stayed there, there were more kids than adults and it ruined our experience in the hotel at breakfast and dinner times. There are literally no tables for 2 people and it was canteen style with kids running around and shouting. It was very noisy and not in any way relaxing for meals, we saw a few kids mauling the food in the buffet with their hands which turned us off to say the least. Our room was facing the slopes which I also would not recommend if you value your sleep as there was music thumping every night until 2am. We changed to the car park view on our last night and regretted not doing so sooner. The spa and thermal suite was very nice and clean. Overall if you are a family with young kids I would recommend, but to be honest we were glad to get out of there by the end of our stay.

Ski school directly outside hotel, great for little ones. Great location, top staff, no was never an answer. Rooms were perfect, cleaned every day with no fault. Ski rental in the hotel-best experience ever! Top top top!

The main and one of the biggest hotels is located right on the ski track. It is renovated and the rooms are large, nice, and clean. Service is okish and food is very general and mainly consists of low-quality products and not tasty. If you want good coffee you have to get it from the lobby bar.

Excellent hotel. Great value for the money.  Spa services were just right - Turkish bath, saunas, steam room, massages, gym, pool.

Because we were attending a conference event the food in the restaurant was buffet style. The food offered was repetitive and overly salty.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. I'm very pleased that they provided us with a wheelchair accessible room, since my wife required those amenities at the time.

The drive from Sofia was an hour long through mostly winding, mountainous roads. Very picturesque and beautiful.

Overall very happy with our stay there.

The hotel itself is amazing, however the rooms leave much to be desired, the mattresses are incredibly hard and above all the room's temperature cannot be regulated, it was extremely warm inside of the room and there was no way to turn off the heating or change temperature, other work colleagues claimed they had to open the balcony door (we're now in the winter) in order to regulate the temperature of their bedroom so they could sleep.
