My visit to Kopun in Dubrovnik offered a mixed experience, earning it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

On the positive side, I tried the traditional Dubrovnik rooster dish and the Dubrovnik almond and orange cake, both of which were enjoyable. The rooster dish was flavorful and well-prepared, offering a nice taste of local cuisine. The cake was a delightful end to the meal, with a lovely balance of almond and citrus flavors. The prices at Kopun were in line with what we encountered at other restaurants in Dubrovnik, so no surprises there.

However, there were a couple of downsides to our experience. First, the homemade iced tea we ordered was disappointing—it tasted more like flavored water than actual iced tea. It lacked the refreshing, full-bodied flavor we were hoping for.

Another issue we encountered was when it came time to pay the bill. While we appreciated that they were willing to split the bill, we were surprised to find that we couldn’t pay part in cash and part by card. It was either all cash or all card, which was quite inconvenient. This was the only restaurant during our entire stay in Dubrovnik where this was a problem, while all others had no issues accommodating mixed payments.

Overall, Kopun served up good food with a taste of Dubrovnik’s culinary traditions, but the payment policy and disappointing iced tea took away from the experience. It’s still worth a visit if you’re interested in trying local dishes, but be prepared for some issues when it comes to paying the bill. A 3 out of 5 stars for this one.

Nothing really special. The food had good quality but I didn't find anything with a unique signature that leads to such price, except for the chicken gnocchi.
The quantity on the other hand could improve. We had another dinner 3 hours later!

Food while done quite well, left more to be desired considering the price point. We had the seafood risotto, baked cockerel, pasticada, and the orange and almond cake. Some dishes were underseasoned and some too salty. Service could use improvement in terms of attentiveness but still polite.

We had lunch here and really enjoyed it. They have lots of covered outdoor seating. My husband got a 3 course set meal and I got their signature Kopan dish. My meal was very tasty with a lot of flavor. My husband enjoyed his meal though I thought the entree portion was a bit small.  Service was attentive. Definitely recommend.

Good vibes and it’s quite packed during dinner time unless you prefer sitting indoor. We were hungry so we dined inside but sitting outside for food and drinks would definitely be a better experience.
Scallop risotto and the beef stew are the nicest!!
