Very nice marina with good infrastructure of the hotel Nautica (indoor pool, sauna) that can be used. Friendly staff and modern washrooms. Restaurant Nautica ok but could be improved. Short walk to city center with many nice restaurants and entertainment and to the nice beach on the other side.

We called the Marina for instructions for a berth for a yacht with a 2 m draft and 10 meter long. They instructed us to wait for a boat, which will guide us to our place. The marineros were super friendly. They asked us if we had a bow thruster. We did not, so they stayed with us to help us to dock: we had 15 knots gusts from the side. It is the first time we were offered that kind of help, and we were really grateful. The conditions were not ideal. We managed without their help but it was comforting to know that they could help us if needed. The marina is  spacious and nice. Once we were docked, the marinero took our boat papers and we checked in the reception of the marina, which is located on the desk next to the hotel reception. We took a electricty adapter in loan from the reception: the electricty outlets are for 32 A and our cable was for 16A outlets. The adaptor loan costed 50 €, which we got back once we returned it. At night it was quiet. Most of the ships were from owners and we saw no charter crews (which usually are very loud, as any big group of people in vacation usually can be).  The access to showers was not far (less than two minutes from our ship) and the showers were spacious and private. The garbage disposal is on the parking lot next to the tank station, with recycling bins for normal garbage, cans and tetrapak, glass, and paper. To go to town you need to go towards the shipyard and get out through the gate following the signs to the center. There is a Konsum (supermarket) close to the area where the fishing boats are docked. A bakery was close by. To reach the supermarket and the backery will take you about 10 minutes. The bakery opens at 7:00 am, and it is an excellent excuse to take a stroll early in the morning. If you go to the bakery, take an extra bag with you. They have only single small paper bags for their bread and pastries (they were good!). We enjoyed the marina, the quiet atmosphere and the small but beautiful Novigrad center with the sea promenade along the city wall. We will come back next time we are navigating in Istria.
