Purveyor of Coffee and Pastries, but perhaps best known for Artisan Popsicles, Cafe Det Vide Hus is an independent Café near Nørreport Station open from 07h00 Tuesday through Friday and at 09h00 on Weekends. Two stories with games upstairs, the counter containing four Breads and Coffee paraphernalia, most guests seem to opt for a Morning Bun plus Espresso on-the-go, good Beans with mild acidity pulled to order while the Sesame Seed Sourdough offers a stretchy crumb around Cheese and Butter. Cozy and good for crowd-gazing, prices lower than elsewhere, Det Vide Hus' Croissant could stand a bit more leavening to open the center while a puck-shaped Cookie fares better thanks to good Chocolate, lots of Butter and flecks of Salt.

Great cappuccino, croissant and yogurt with cereals. Make sure to go on the second floor on the table facing the park in order to observe the royal guards marching. The employees of the coffee shop are really friendly and the relaxed vibe of the place will make your day start with the right mood.

This place has great breakfast with quality ingredients. The pour over coffee menu will please most coffee lovers and the staff is very friendly and speak English. Had scrambled eggs and toast with a side of avocado and the daily pour over. My wife had granola. Both of us are off to have a great day, thanks to a stellar and simple breakfast.

First of all, Det Vide Hus is an excellent study spot! Not too many people in the day time, good coffee, friendly staff who understand my weird danish and decent prices. Hurrah! The location is also very convenient, in central Copenhagen close to the Royal Gardens. The white, old stone house is also very charming, explaining the lovely name of the café. You almost want to live there. The müsli with skyr and berries looks delicious and colourful and my bun with avocado was simple, but good. The ginger boost juice is also super nice and refreshing. The food menu isn't too big, but contains a nice selection of croissants, buns and toasts of various kinds. This is definitely the spot for juice, coffee, milkshake or anything on the more liquid side. If there's anything to say on the slightly negative side, it could be that the cafe could use a tiny touch up, seeing as it's a bit worn. I can't decide whether this is part of its charm or if I would like it a bit fresher, though.

Best granola I've had, food was fresh and made to order very carefully. The lattes were great and they offer non dairy milk options. He place is small but cute atmosphere and very chill. Perfect place to stop at for a great smallish breakfast and a well made espresso drink! Oh also they use Coffee Collective beans.

Located in the vicinity of Nørreport Station and overlooking the castle of Rosenborg and its garden, this little gem is worth a visit any day, especially if you are a coffee connoisseur! i had an Aero Press - a whole new way of making coffee in which the technology of the percolator is reinvented and refined. This new brew totally wipes filter coffees behind! The room itself is pretty small - luckily, there is an upstairs where you can sit and enjoy a newspaper or just relax and listen to the music which is played at a very comfortable volume level. The relaxed atmosphere seems to rub off on the visitors who tend to speak softly and with lowered voices. Service is pleasant, seating is comfortable, coffee is great - you basically don't want to leave this place once you have finished the first cup!

I stopped by on my way to Rosenborg Castle (basically across the street from here to the North.) I ordered avocado on toast; it was a nice nutritious and tasty snack and the dark seeded bread was fantastic. I also ordered a beet smoothee, which was delicious and a welcome break from my recent regimen of 3+ espressi / day. The owner very graciously helped me out to locate a luggage store; he is a very friendly and engaging chap. I will eagerly return there next time I'm in the City Center area.

Love the coffee here. And I love the laid-back attitude. I usually meet up with a friend or two to chat over coffee because it's such a relaxed place. It's also very kid-friendly, and they have a wide variety of juices/smoothies that any kid would love to drink! If you time it right, you can even catch the changing of the guard across the street.
