Cutest and comfiest bar around - its all about trains here Pros: - Really nice atmosphere - One of the bartender dresses up in a kilt and starts playing the bagpipe at 9 and 11. Really an experience! - Carlsberg is around 40DKK other beers are around 65DKK - Separate female and male toilet - Right NEXT to central so very convenient - Locals + tourists + everyone who wants a good time Cons: - Smoking is allowed - your hair and jacket will reek of smoke! This isn't a place to go dancing but a place to chill and chat.

One of the most fun pubs and authentic bars we found. Met some great friends from Sweden. Everyone is so friendly. Anyone that knows butch mcguires in Chicago...it's the Danish version of that. It's wunderful.

Dinky little place with bags of character. I was taken by a local who wanted to show me a place where I'd see real Copenhageners, not businessmen, trendies or tourists. The decor is all railway-related as befits its location next to the main train station, and they also do their own beer - you can only buy 7 Ekspressen from this bar! However, the fact they allow smoking inside (within the rather lax Danish smoking ban regulations) made it rather uncomfortable for me. Point to note - they do accept Visa but there's a minimum spend of 100 Crowns, which is around four drinks. They will happily pop your card behind the bar until you've spent enough, though.

Stumbled in on a sunday, and the owner was playing piano and singing standards accompanied by another gentleman on accordion. This bar is incredible. It's so cozy and fun. It does seem smokier than other Copenhagen bars, but hey it's a bar! Being next to Copenhagen Central Station, there are a lot of travelers but nary a tourist to be found, which was really nice. Upon the realization that our group was from America, the owner came over and told us about a road trip he took through the states in the 70's and how much he loved our country and wanted us to feel as welcome as possible. The clientele here is a little bit older, but has to be the most fun crowd I've drank with in a long long time. Imagine a bar full of drunk aunts and uncles, but the good kind who like to have a good time, not the kind who press you about how your life is going. The prices aren't cheap, but totally worth it, and if you're stopping through Copenhagen Central Station, I recommend stopping by for a round. They're even cool with you bringing your luggage in if you have to.

I had a great time here. It was recommended by locals for a great Danish experience. Coming from my states just be warned it is a smoking bar so you smell like an ashtray after going. Loved the trains and if you can go for the local beer to try and win a medal. We won Gold!!!!

Cool bar next on the shady side of the train station. They allow smoking, so be prepared to smell like smoke when you leave. Nice and mellow crowd. Seems like more locals, not so many tourists.
