This stall in Torvehallerne Market is one of the best values in Copenhagen for high-quality, quick food. We needed something to eat on an upcoming flight, and I picked up a couple of ReTreat sandwiches. We were amazed by the quality of the ingredients. I'm kind of a sandwich snob, and I thought that the smoked salmon sandwich was perfect. The creamy mustard sauce was a key element. The sandwiches here were so good that we came back a few weeks later when we needed another quick meal. In the mood for something lighter, I found the veggie sandwich to be just as tasty as the salmon sandwich. The addition of sun-dried tomatoes and pumpkin seeds really made it special. I also tried a sample of the ham and cheese sandwich, it was good, but very rich. The sandwiches here are a steal (for Denmark) at only about $8.50 each. This is similar to what they would cost in the States! The sandwiches are large, and we found them to be filling enough for a meal.

Had a fantastic tuna sandwich. It was heated and had a little spice in it. Excellent sandwich, inexpensive too. My daughter had the chorizo pesto, heated as well. She thought it was good but says she has had better. She gives her sandwich a 4, I gave mine a 5. Big plus - almost no tourists!

Very cute spot in the Torvehallern Market. I liked how everythign was bio and carefully wrapped as to respect every diets. After a delicious smoked salmon sandwich for me and a tuna wrap for the boyfriend and some green juices, we were fully ready to explore the city. On the drawbacks, there is almost no space to eat, so it would be best to enjoy on the go !
