The cutest, most cozy wine bar - I can’t recommend enough. Lovely staff, yummy wine and I didn’t grab any food but from a glance at surrounding tables - it looked amazing. Lacking the pretentiousness that some other Copenhagen wine bars have, and does a wonderful job of making everyone feel welcome and at home. Also far more space than there looks to be from the street!

Nice place in good location. Great selection of natural wines. Been here before as well and their appetizers are quite good! This time we got a few glasses of wine and a tiramisu to share. The staff recommended us a great wine to go along with the tiramisu :-)

ridiculous small portions baccalau (mostly oil soaked polenta) 5x3.5 cm (2 pieces) canapé 155 kr and 10 medium mussels, from a can - I suppose for 115 kr, bread 45 kr and 230 kr added to the price on the label of the wine in the shop. service was good and polite.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Roots Vin Bar, and it was truly an extraordinary experience. The innovative menu was a delightful journey of flavours, beautifully paired with exceptional wines. Here's why I highly recommend Roots Vin Bar:
Stracciatella with Basil, Leeks, and Capers: The meal began with fresh stracciatella served with basil oil, charred leeks, and capers-salt. It was a burst of freshness and a perfect introduction to the outstanding courses that followed.
Coppa with Hazelnuts and Linseed Oil: This cured meat dish was a delightful blend of flavours, with toasted hazelnuts, linseed oil, and fresh dill. The combination of textures and tastes was exquisite.
Baccala Mantecato with Panella and Crispy Kale: The Sicilian croquette with whipped baccalá, leektop emulsion, and crispy kale was a revelation. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavours and textures, leaving a lasting impression.
Rainbow Trout with Buttermilk, Lovage, and Pumpkin Seeds: The rainbow trout dish was a highlight, perfectly cooked and complemented by buttermilk, lovage, and pumpkin seeds. It was a  masterpiece that left me craving for more.
Tartare with Verbena Emulsion, Pickled Chanterelles, and Jerusalem Artichokes: This dish was a symphony of flavours. The tartare was expertly prepared and beautifully accompanied by the verbena emulsion, pickled chanterelles, and Jerusalem artichokes.
Tiramisu: The grand finale was a classic tiramisu, and it was the perfect conclusion to this gastronomic adventure. It was light, creamy, and utterly delicious.
The exceptional service at Roots Vin Bar enhanced the entire experience. The staff's knowledge and enthusiasm about the menu and wine pairings were evident, and they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.
Speaking of wine pairings, every selection was impeccable. The staff's recommendations for each course were spot on, enhancing the flavors of the dishes and creating a memorable dining experience.
Roots Vin Bar's commitment to sustainable practices and promoting ecological systems unity through food and wine is commendable. It's clear that they take great pride in supporting winemakers who prioritise sustainability, from environmental balance to the social and cultural impact of the food chain.
I wholeheartedly recommend Roots Vin Bar to anyone looking for a unique and delightful culinary experience.

While the place was really packed and booked for the Friday we attended it, we luckily secured two seats at the counter and were able to enjoy two glasses of white wine recommended by the seller.

I would highly recommend this wine bar (and shop) to anyone looking for a more hidden but good wine bar in the heart of Copenhagen!
